Ooooohhhhh Kaaaaaaayyyyy..... *stepping away from Tete*
It's scary how blase my Mum is about giving birth, although it can't have been that good because about 2 weeks after I was born she dragged my Dad to the doctors to 'get seen to'!. When I was asking her about some things I'd read (like episiotomies (sp?) eeek!) she was like, 'Pah, just a little cut, you're pretty weak if that scares you!'. Oh my gosh, how hard is my Mum?!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Hi all, been lurking again but have came out of lurkdom to get a slice of Guiness Cake, or at least ask nicely for the recipe! My OH loves the occasional Guiness, is it very sweet though, as he is also diabetic? Thanks in advance!

I was born by Caesarean and it started badly when the surgeon had to leave the operating theatre to get stitches as he'd cut his own arm with a scalpel! I can' t believe my parents let him do the operation, but they did and I've still got a 2 inch scar across my forehead. Really! That wouldn't happen now, and if it did we'd be suing people left, right and centre!
Flower, that must have been horrible for you, it's so totally unjust, but as the girls say, hope you can carry on moving forward from here. Big hugs x
I think you're doing the right thing Wendz - if it doesn't feel right then it generally isn't! But it doesn't stop you keeping an eye on what's out there
Lara, how're things coming along with your house? Sounds like a good deal! And when do you go to Uganda? That sounds super exciting! My OH is just applying for a 3-6 month sabbatical with the engineer equivalent of Doctors Without Borders in South Africa!
Dinah, well done for not giving into a huge piece of cake - sounds yum, whose recipe is it?LBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380 -

Flower - *huge hugs* Feel free to message me anytime you want to talk - and I hope you are having an 'ok' day today.
Wendz - You're doing the right thing with the flat. Better to step away now than rush into something and regret it
CMD - Can't wait to 'see' your little one! And you're doing amazing with your money! :T
I really want to make that cake.. I've just thought of an occasion! My stepmum's (Irish) family are coming over next weekend, I'll make it for then! Yay!
Poddle - Did the doctor say sorry?!
Cinny - definitely post a pic of your hair! And what are you wanting to do at college? Is it a business type course or have I just made that up?!
I'm meant to be packing but I have too much stuffI'm doing that No Toiletries challenge so thought I'd take back some No7 bath stuff I bought for Christmas presents (I bought too much and people would get sick of it),
and I had to find £34 worth of stuff in Boots to exchange it for! Luckily (?!) S&G is 1/3 off so I got a fair bit!Doesn't really help my challenge though..

Hehe, no Zig it doesn't! Is the big move this weekend?Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Well at least you tried Zig!
Good luck with the packing too! I hate packing, I've got boxes on top of our wardrobe that I hadn't even unpacked from the time I moved before we got the flat; yet although I know that I don't really need it all since I haven't used the stuff in about 4 years I can't bring myself to sort it out and bin it all!

Birdie could you not just close your eyes and throw the boxes in the bin without even looking inside them?Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Ack, I'm the same with throwing things away - must be more ruthless! Actually that might be a good project for this weekend...
How's your de-cluttering going Tete?
Birdie I love the fact that you made an early appearance just to spite your dad, ha!LBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380
