Well done Lulu! Now lets hope karma works its way back to you and someone gets you a job! Good luck with the nieces, hope they don't wreck the place!

A snowman! Jeez, when he mentions what hes going to wear I'd mention that the colour makes him look terminally ill or something! He's not even my OH and I'm fuming!

Can't down dear! I'm not even that mad! I think his point (if very badly worded!) is that he doesn't want me to wear the wrong dress and look back at my photos thinking that I looked huge, and in his opinion an empire line dress will do that. But I think he's wrong! I'm going to go and try some on with my friend who has a very critical eye and a scarily straight talking nature to tell me if I look good or not!

I didn't think I wanted empire line, for the same reason, I thought you only wore them to hide things like oops the baby decided to take roots a few months early, but when I went to try dresses on Wednesday by far the most flattering was the empire line, and it will be for most women as it accentuates the smallest part of your torso.

Hey everyone, just wanted to say congrats Zig! yay! Glad to know everything went well and Quinn is a lovely name.

Poolie - you are doing so well, debt busting like mad. What are you going to buy when you get Mrs Poolie paid off?

Well done Tink for the Dooyoo cheque - must get back to it.

Today I booked my flights to Uganda - cool. Going for a conference in March. Flights are quite dear, ended up paying £510 for some seriously indirect flights which take 23 hours each way including stopovers. No twirly Martins!

  • Just wanted to say hi! I've jus read through this thread and read bits of the earlier ones and love your attitude towards saving and the amazing organisation you have to bring in the money! Also love the friendships on the thread! I think I may have come across some of you on Dooyoo coincidentally.

I seem to have a bit in common with you Dinah, in that I do the same job as you and also have some online crafty stores on Etsy and MISI for my jewellery (I'd love to give up the day job) - I've not sold anything on them yet though...

Anyway, just thought I'd say hello and will keep reading your adventures with interest!

Nice to meet you! Lot in common with me if your shop isn't selling either...! I need to actually put my paintings on there in the next few weeks though, not likely to be this week, this week is all about catching up on my sewing homework.

Went wedding cake tasting today. It was nice cake, but £325 for a cake just makes my head spin!

Hope everyone is having good weekends!
I am soooo happy! I set up an A&L account for the cashback and £100 paid into your new A&L bank account. I didnt think i had qualified for it (there were a few T&C's i didnt think i'd met). Just got round to sorting all my paperwork etc out and opened a statement from them and there's a nice £100 in there for me!! Means i can make a payment!:money:
