Hmmm 2 house moves since school and a terrible filing system... I have no idea where my certificates are! The job has a fancy name but it's basically testing the internal systems before they're put in place around the company. No idea about the money since it's an internal bulletein and the company doesn't advertise wages to avoid people asking questions about why they paid £x when someone else gets £y but the job is in a quiet office with a small team so sounds quite promising. Will save loads in petrol too!
You're lucky you've got such a lovely hubby CMD! Is he doing a good job of looking after the two of you? I have no idea how single parents do it!
I could join the no money club too, just been paid today but already said goodbye to over 70% of it... I'm glad we've got a strict present budget for Christmas but I still think I'll have to get creative to ensure I don't need to use the CC!
Very well said! :T
I don't know how single parents do it either Birdie. They have my utmost respect because it is a hard job and especially hard when you throw teething and lack of sleep into the mix. I can see 1 tooth just about ready to poke through so hopefully when it does he will have a bit of relief.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

I don't know how ANY parents do it! Especially if they work. I'm always complaining that I never have enough time to do all the things I need to, I don't know how anyone with kids gets anything done! Anyway, I'm off so have a lovely weekend everyone, look forward to your update Dinah and the rest of the honeymoon pics. Hope Max gets his tooth and some respite! xxWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0

I still caved and supplemented little Sam's pressie with this though
Dinah if the new amount includes car finance I don't think it's so bad, it's not as though you can't see what you've spent the money on - even Martin says it's OK (if it's manageable etc etc).
Marmaduke's sounds ace, you'll have to tell us what it was like!clearmydebts wrote: »Do you have an exact figure of what your debt is Dinah? I always found your sigs very inspiring (of how much and how quickly you paid off the debt) so it might help you to shift it quicker?
Kids get the best pressies! Love Mr Potato head, he's a legend.
It does include car finance (although we haven't actually taken it out yet), and since speaking to you all at lunchtime I've decided to include my student loan in it too  This obviously means its a lot higher, but I did a bit of maths and went 'well, if we tried to clear it in a year, it's only 2/3 of our take home pay over that period!'. My mind is utterly warped by the fact when I last did a major debt clearance I cleared about 20% more debt than my take home pay over the same period entirely through extra income earners - so with two of us extra income earning this ought to be a doddle... right?!
I do have an 'exact' figure. The apostrophe's are not sarcastic, except that one of the figure's is the student loan company, and the most up to date figure they have for me is March 2009, so I've guesstimated (probably a little high) and if we get to that point and we've got a bit much saved up to clear it we'll just have to go on holiday to celebrateBasically Monday is going to be the old Dinah again, debt busting, and posting daily updates on the silly pennies I've made, we've just spent the first month back trying to get a bit organised in the house so we have a place to sit down to do said debt busting! This weekend I'll post all our terrifying totals, and off we go again.
Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
Debt September 20th 2022 £2991.68- 96.92% paid off0 -
Sounds like you've got a solid plan in mind to clear itBe who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
