Sorry, I know there's nothing more boring than listening to other people's dreams! :D

I like hearing about other's people's weird dreams!

The coldness in the house has reached a new low - the Nutella in the cupboard has gone solid as though it's been in the fridge! Not acceptable!

Ugh, I agree - NOT acceptable! Is there nothing the landlord can do? Would be a shame to move out in Feb after spending all that time house hunting.

We have succumbed to central heating this weekend (after spending a small fortune having it installed after all the cold weather in March/April ths year!) It's amazing! We spent last winter holed up in one room of the flat with an electric radiator, which probably cost a fortune, so fingers crossed it's not too expensive!

PS. There's a link to the laser prices here as a guide - I think they're fairly flexible especially if you have more than one area done and they often have 25% off deals. Plus you can use clubcard vouchers at 4x value (now!) and get £50 if you get referred. I'm having 8 sessions (one every six weeks) on bikini and armipits and pay £68 a month with their 0% finance. I'm trying to do this through extra income, so it's a bit MSE! Yes, it hurts a lot, but not for very long! (and no, I don't work for them :D)

Sorry for boring ramble! I definitely recommend it, but I'm not sure I can justify spending £2k on getting my legs done!

Well if you think about a lifetime's worth of shaving/waxing, you'd probably spend more than £2000 on all that Poddle so it'll pay for itself... eventually!

I think the landlord should do something about the insulation for you Tete, it's all about being energy efficient in this day and age! Could you talk to the agent you're renting through about it to see what they say? Or get some of that expanding foam stuff and do it yourself... claiming ignorance when you leave if he notices!

Morning all.... yyyyyyyyaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwnnnnnnnn... I'm so sleepy! I've always been a bit of a hit and miss sleeper and stupidly vivid dreamer but this last fortnight has taken the biscuit, every night I've had really odd vivid dreams and I'm waking up exhausted because I don't feel like I've actually rested, I can barely keep my eyes open today! Had a little look on Google about it but now I'm just scaring myself, I'm a little bit of a hypochondriac and I'm convincing myself that I need to go to a sleep clinic etc so I must stop thinking about it! (Need a rolly eyes here!)

When do you think your house will be (more or less) finished Dinah? You got any recent photo updates?

Lol everyone keeps asking that. Two rooms are done completely done (kitchen and downstairs bathroom, and another two are done (well one still needs curtains hanging and they both need furniture) - I can do kitchen photos but the others have to wait!

I get really bad dreams when I'm stressed, a few months before the wedding I was utterly shattered I was so stressed with it, everynight death dreams, but then in the last fortnight it really calmed down.
I always dream loads when I'm either stressed or in a different bed on holiday or something. Is it to do witht the wedding, or the desk thing at work?

Last night I dreamt that OH had been shot and a building had exploded (I put this down to this week's Spooks!), and he was lying dying on the floor of a Greggs - I woke up really upset and told him about it and he just said, "Well I've been shot before and I survived!" (he was accidentally shot in the leg with an air rifle when he was 16) - totally unsympathetic to my plight! (He did ask me to marry him in the dream though, but probably because he knew he was on death's door and wouldn't have to go through with it!)

Sorry, I know there's nothing more boring than listening to other people's dreams! :D

Hope little Max gets some teeth soon! :( Wisdom teeth are painful enough, must be awful to have your whole mouth feel like that!

Dinah I'm with you on the squatting in chaos :( at least we're not having building work done though! The coldness in the house has reached a new low - the Nutella in the cupboard has gone solid as though it's been in the fridge! Not acceptable!

I don't mind hearing about other people's dreams when they're good!
It's not a heating problem it's an insulation problem and I don't like to ask because I don't think he'll do it. His daughter lived in the house before us and I've a feeling it's the reason she moved. If he didn't make it nice for her he's not going to do it for us, surely? And I don't feel like we should HAVE to ask for these sorts of things to be done. If it was something like the boiler broke no problem but this wouild be asking to have (expensive) stuff done to the house that should have been done to start with... I don't know I just feel a bit funny about it :o

Legally he has no obligation as it's the same state it was when you signed the lease, if the boiler broke he'd be obligated... I'm with you I'd just move. Even sealing the windows won't make it hugely better I shouldn't think.

Sounds horrible Tete - it is a difficult one with landlord though.

Dinah - sounds like house is coming along nicely. Will be so good when it is all done.

Pregnancy causes you to have some weird dreams, some horrible ones as well...seems to have stopped a bit though.

Hmmm, I don't really want to know that when I get pregnant my dreams will get weirder than they are now! I'm going to go to Boots after work to see if I can get something 'natural' to knock me out, it probably won't work but I'm so tired today I need to try something, I feel like a zombie!

My manager has just been in with her baby and I've gone all a-goo again! I was mean and hogged him, I wouldn't let anyone else hold him mwahahaha! It's the first time I've had a hold and he hasn't cried so I was enjoying it!

Seems a bit odd talking to the agent when he lives across the road. And he's asked that we do all dealings with him anyway.

This was what I was thinking - shame it was a sunny day in July when we came to look around eh?!

The paint has now started peeling off the bathroom ceiling because there's so little ventilation in there, even though we keep the door open and have both windows flung open and the fan on when we have a shower :(

Poddle glad the de-fuzzing is going well - hate the sound of having your armpits zapped though - it's such a sensitive area!

Did you have any luck in Boots Birdie? I sometimes take Kalms Night or whatever they're called when I'm feeling stressed and having trouble sleeping - they knock you out til the morning but you do feel a bit groggy when you wake up!

I'm going to my little godson's second birthday party tomorrow - but having a crisis about his present. I think I mentioned on here last Christmas about how I always end up spending a fortune on people because I never think I've got them enough and keep buying more.

I've made him a crayon roll with my own fair hand and filled it with crayolas, got three colouring/puzzle books and a massive plain pad and a crayon rubbing thing with some kids TV show characters on it, that makes animal sounds or something. Is this enough??? What would you think CMD of someone got that for Max? :o:o

I think the present sounds great Tete, I'm sure it'll go down very well and the fact that you made the crayon roll yourself (clever girl!) will be appreciated!

I got some Bach's Rescue Night drops yesterday, you put a few drops on your tongue (it actually tastes quite nice) and it's supposed to aid sleep... and it seemed to work OK. I was still a little tossy turny as ever but no draining all night dreams so I feel much better today. Still a bit tired but I think I just need to catch up with my sleep before I feel good again! Lie-in tomorrow I hope!

One of my old office buddies who still works at the company but in a different office 10 minutes away (within walking distance of home) has just sent me the current job list for his office and there's a job on there that looks pretty good for me... and I can't find my CV anywhere! Argh! I think it's on my old work PC that's been scrapped. Looks like I'll have to re-write the blinkin' thing, how annoying!

  • Thanks Birdie.

Rewriting the CV mightn't be such a bad thing - means you might reword a few things or present it in a fresh way - spend a bit of time on it and make sure you keep a backup this time. Better than just quickly refreshing your old CV, although I know it'll be a pain! :o

The annoying thing is that I just spruced it up and rewrote it last year! I can never remember my GCSE & A Level results and years in previous jobs either... I must not put my excellent long term memory skills on my new CV! ;)

I think it sounds lovely Tete. I would be very happy with that, as it is something for him to sit down and do as opposed to a video game etc. I am a great fan of colouring or painting for kids so it would go down well in my house :)
