Lol, you're not grouchy; other people can just be SO annoying! I'm fed up of work at the moment, everyone seems to be strung out and disillusioned with everything, but I haven't got time to rant about it right now!
BUT... one of the cows in the field outside just gave birth and we've spent the last hour watching the baby attempting to stand up on its wobbly, shaky legs - SO sweet!LBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380 -

Well I'm moved now... sit in didn't work!
I'm now in an office with cigarette lady and gross finger nail lady... as well as 'Talks like a train announcer' lady and 'girl with a fake geordie accent that comes and goes'!
Poor Birdie, can't believe you'd ended up with both of them, plus more! Instead of surfing the internet you could start writing a sitcom about themYou could call it The Office...? Hm, maybe not...
But at least it would look like you were doing work!LBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380 -
Had my boss and the HR lady out this week, looks like we've agreed I'll go back part time for one week at the end of August, then put in 4 weeks holiday, then when I come back from that be back most likely full time.
Interestingly it also sounds like we're going to be moving offices about 10 miles away in October time, which is bad in the short term as its harder to get to and a much scruffier town, but good in the long term as they're going to take our essential car user allowance off us so I'd actually be able to go to work on the train a few days a week which would be relaxing and save a couple of pennies a week too.
Loan has gone back (yey!)
Going to do a bit more matched betting this evening, this week seems to have flown by and nothing really has gotten done!
Went to see the house on our way back from the bank today, the tiler is one messy man! Also has cut big holes to stick pipes to the outside through, which has left loads of mess on the drive and lots of pipes leading nowhere - hopefully they won't be that way for long. The tiling also starts halfway up the wall rather than at floor level - which is wierd! He's also missed off the black tile trim, and left no room for it under the shelves, so I think we might have to return that and just not have it. Which is a shame but I'm not going to get too hett up about it. At least its £30 saved when we return the tiles!

Good idea about writing the sitcom Poddle! I used to write OH funny short stories when we first started ‘going out’ to entertain him once I’d left work and he’d have no-one to e-mail! Ah the good old days!
Are you happy about the work arrangement or not Dinah? Are the 4 weeks you’re taking from holiday allowance up to December? Not so bad if it is, worse if it’s up to April or something! That’s good that you can take the train to work once the offices move, not so good that it’s not a nice area!
That’s pretty annoying about the tiler as well, but you’re right to look on the bright side that you can get money back from taking the unused tiles back! Can you knock a bit off his bill for not doing his job properly?!
I went to a Pampered Chef party at one of my Mum’s workmate’s last night; we clubbed our orders together to ‘earn’ a free gift (a fancy bamboo spatula set) and then won the (free!) raffle so we’re now arguing over who gets a trifle bowl, when neither of us ever makes trifle! But maybe I would if I had a fancy bowl….Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

It's National Cheesecake Day did you know that? I would have liked to have made one but sadly am stuck in this godforsaken hellhole til 4, then off to pick up our hoover! Whoever thought I'd get excited about a hoover eh?!OH is also off to a new Argos returns shop, where they sell all sorts of stuff in perfect working order, it's just that it's been returned to the shops for a refund without the packaging. Hoping he can get the kettle and toaster I've picked out for half the price of Amazon!
That work arrangement doesn't sound too bad - you can catch up on the bulk of what you've missed in that first week, then have a holiday and get back into it afterwards. How's the knee going??
Poddle that is SO cute! Most wildlife near my work is the pigeons, although there is sometimes the odd duck parked on the grassWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Poddle - That must have been such a sweet thing to see! I just have a brick wall out my window, it's very exciting because there's 1 brick that's half the size of all the others. Thrilling, I know!
Dinah - I second Birdie, are you happy about the arrangements? Good news about them scrapping that car thing though, I always found it quite odd! As of the tiler, it might all come together! We have 2 in the company and they're both super scatty-heads but things always come together. I hope it does for you!
LOL @ the trifle bowl debate Birdie! Yay for winning thoughFingers crossed your OH gets some bits from the sale place Tete.
I'm getting very nervous, I'm about to book my hair in for a cut and I'm going short, like Frankie from The Saturdays but a little bit longer on the 'long' part. I did the typical 'messing around clipping hair up' jitty to see what it would look like, what do you all think?? I like it, but obviously it's alot easier to like knowing I can just pull a couple clips out and have my hair back. I think I could pull it off.
ETA: For the picture, I'm not that orange! I was messing with a 1960s photo thing, I swear!0 -
We all know you're a tanoholic now Cinny, don't deny it!
The hair will look good, if you don't like it it'll always grow back! I can't be bothered with anything remotely fancy because I'm too lazy to style it on a morning! I've recently been sporting a 'beachy' (or is that 'messy and frizzy?') wave because I can't be bothered to straighten it!

I am, it's shameful! I'm on one a week now
and feel 'pale' when I'm still a couple shades darker than I am. I blame my mother!
I'm going for that hair because I'm hoping it'll be easy, don't say it's fancy! Takes me about 35 minutes each morning to properly straighten my hair, it's a right bloody pain. I cba anymore so I've been wearing it in a pony tail all the time. I hope this will = a quick flick of the straighteners! I've been doing a job my OH would be envious of though, looking at Frankie Sandford all morning to get good hair pictures!
ETA: Right, I'm booked in! I thought it would be next week = plenty of time to umm and ahh over it. But its for 2pm today! Sheesh!0 -
Cinny, I reckon it will look great! You can definitely pull it off
