Well I'm moved now... sit in didn't work!
I'm now in an office with cigarette lady and gross finger nail lady... as well as 'Talks like a train announcer' lady and 'girl with a fake geordie accent that comes and goes'! It's great fun, I have earache already! Luckily I'm on the end of the line of desks so I can escape easily, but it also means that I have to keep clicking my internet screen off and look busy everytime someone walks past! Gah, I may have to do some actual work! :eek:Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

I feel your pain! I work in a tiny office of three of us but I'm the one with my back to the door, which is always open so everyone can see what's on my screen all the timeEspecially now that 'our' kitchen has been turned into a classroom and we have to share with the Academics, all the coffee, tea and sugar is kept behind me as well so people are always coming in! (Can't put it in the new kitchen as the lazy lecturers will pinch it all and not replace it, it's bad enough having to leave the milk in the fridge. *rant approaching* Honestly some of them don't even say hello to you in the corridors because you're 'only' admin but considering they think they're so above everyone else and educated and distinguished, they're the sort of people who leave teabags in the sink WHEN THERE'S A BIN RIGHT NEXT TO IT ... it's not the poor cleaners' job to clean up after them like that :mad::mad:)
Ahem sorry about that, yeah it's annoying not being able to surf the net all day!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

I totally know what you mean! The managers here are so grebby, they leave dirty cups in the sink, the tea towel is always filthy, lord knows what they do with it. They leave tea bags on the side, the spill coffee granules all over and don't bother wiping them up and leave always leave the tiniest trickle of milk in the carton so they don't have to replace it! It's not like they have to go far or pay for it, just go downstairs and ask in the canteen! Grrrr makes me so mad! Almost as mad as people who don't change the toilet roll!
Gosh... when did I turn into such a grouchy old lady?! :eek:Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Yes! YES!! That about replacing the milk is exactly the same here, and then you think well why am I complaining about doing it if you only have to go downstairs and put the budget code on the sheet, but that's not the point! We're not here to skivvy around after them! And the toilet roll thing too! My Dad has started doing this it's so annoying - or rather he leaves one sheet on it, which is worse because it's less noticable when you first go in, thank god I'm moving out soon!
(We're not grouchy, we'd just like to be done unto as we would do to others!)Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Just back from town and I seem to have spent a tad more than I anticipated (how did THAT happen!) but on the plus side, at least it was stuff that I'll definitely use.ISA savings: £25,139 Other Savings: £1750 (tied up in bond)0
