We'll all have bootiful cliniquey skin in no time! Really hope we get them :D

Having a bit of a dilemma. My mattress is awful, was quite cheap (came with the bed) and has gone all springy and nasty. My back feels horrible all the time, and OH can never get to sleep on it. So I really need a new one, but I have no pennies so I'll have to get it on credit. Choice 1 is to get a mattress topper, which would be £5.95 a week and has good reviews saying its 'made springy mattresses feel like new' or to go for a whole new mattress, which would be £9ish a week. Both at 0% interest too.

Ooh thanks for that CInny, I'll sign up now - something I've always wanted to try too - my skin's been looking pretty yukky lately, sort of sallow? So hopefully might do the trick. Might also buy a facemask today to try and cheer it up a bit!

No idea about the mattress Cinny. Getting an actual mattress isn't much more than the topper, but don't know how different they are if that makes sense?

Started our house shopping last night with a fab set of Sabatier knives which were £25 (half price) in Tesco, and a Dyson on ebay! :) Showed OH the crockery I like and he said it's like something his Gran used to have so that's a work in progress!

Hmmm, I'd go for the best you could afford Cinny as long as you think it'll last you i.e. when you and your OH move in together he doesn't say, 'Let's keep my mattress and get rid of yours!' You can't put a price on a good night's sleep!

Good buys Tete! I've got my fingers crossed for your OH OK'ing the crockery! So pretty!

I went round to my friend's last night to paint some signs for a pirate themed float we're on on Saturday, our quaint little city has it's founder's day every year and there's a parade so we're representing the rugby club this year- we're only allowed to do it every couple of years because the boys are known for being a little rowdy! Anyhoo the signs look awesome if I do say so myself! Looking forward to getting all dressed up and drinking rum! :D

Thanks :D I think I'm going to go with the mattress, when we move in together we'll be keeping my bed for a few years anyways (highly doubt we'll be able to afford more than essentials!) Will have a word with my parents tonight, I really doubt Argos will give me one of their shiny credit cards!

The float sounds fun Birdie! :D

Sounds like you got some good deals Tete! What did your OH think to the fish plate thingy?

If you decide to buy one from Argos make sure you find a shop stocking the mattress you fancy first so you can test it to make sure it's comfy and right for you! They're pretty personal things so don't just go by other people's reviews.

Did you get pictures from your hair trial the other day Dinah? How are you having it?

Nope no pictures, forgot to take a camera and she took it out before I came home :(

Lost exactly another 1lb.... need to keep this up over the weekend to keep on my 2lb a week target, but I'm going to a friends for dinner tomorrow which will no doubt destroy the calories for the day.

We could fashion some sort of theory about the mass of the world never changing, therefore as natural resources depleated people got fatter, so its not humanities fault its a bit tubby, its physics.

Vintagey up do, she even backcombed it! Gathered at the base of the neck meaning lots of curls in a ponytail with a nice clip at the top. Which will all be hidden by a veil anyway!

Heck, that's a bit deep for a morning isn't it? I've just eaten a scone and can feel its mass adding to my own as we speak!

He hasn't seen it yet. Thought I might be able to squirrel it away to the back of a cupboard, and only bring it out to hold a naan bread or something, that way he's bound to like it because it is the bearer of food? ;):D

Do you get to dress up Cap'n Birdie?
