I'm not sure what 'busy' would be a euphemism for?! I've just ordered my voucher, must be mad - I really struggle to find glasses that suit me normally so don't know why I'm doing this without being able to try on! Yes I think the brown, then I don't know what I'd go for for the second pair, maybe the ones you got in green but in a different colour...
Still no word on the house, I'm taking that as a bad sign, sigh.Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
I think i need to get out a bit more :rotfl: I'm watching a cupboard on ebay that finishes in 3 hours, its the same one i have been eyeing up in the argos catologue at £57. I keep refreshing the page getting ready to make my bid :rotfl:Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0

Just wading in to the marriage/baby debate I don't think it matters if you have a baby first. I won't mind what comes first myself. One of my friends and her fiance have a little 3 year old and they are getting married this year. Anyway it is obviously everyones choice and there isn't one right answer!
Had a fun day today,we went to Google to do some 'brainstorming' for work and they have the most amazing offices. They have a great canteen where they get free breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have salad bar, sushi, seafood, hot food, a man who makes pancakes, ice cream and loads of other stuff. They are also allowed to take their dogs to work haha, I have job envy!0 -
Wow I want to work for Google too!
I've been on a 2 day first aid refresher course which has been just... brilliant! (I need a rolly eyes smiley, this will have to do: :wall:) They picked the oddest bunch from my work to send with me I'm just so glad it's all over and I'm free of them! I've got a snazzy new badge now... I just really hope no-one collapses on me at work because I'll just panic! My area of expertise is in handing out plasters! :rotfl:
Got a lovely 4 day weekend coming up now, seeing my boss and her new baby in the morning then I'm hoping to go the see Toy Story 3 in the afternoon :j We're going to Alnwick on Saturday and staying at the White Swan, we're 'splashing out' (i.e. not staying in a £40 B&B) since Filey was so cheap the other week and this is our 'Big Holiday of 2010!'OH wants to go to see the Harry Potter Snitch in some garden but I'm not sure if it's Alnwick Gardens or in the garden at the castle, any idea Tete/Dinah?

Tete - She basically meant my face is too round and chubby for big thick frames *sniffs* I have carbface! Did you pick your second pair? Went on this morning and my order status has changed to 'Approved for manufacture' oooh!
Wendz - Me and my Sister want to work at Google now! It sounds so neat, jealous of any Google people now.0 -

I wouldn't want to be a first aider in case I ever had to give mouth to mouth to someone with ... a beard!
Alnwick Gardens IS Alnwick Castle Gardens, you get entry to both - I didn't know the snitch was there though? It is where they filmed the Quidditch scenes though I believe. LOVED Alnwick Garden when we went, go to the Poison Garden if the queues aren't too bad, it's fab. We went to that first thing and there were only 6 of us on the tour and we had chance to ask all sorts of questions, later on there were two groups of 15 going around at any one time. Are you going to go to Barter Books???
Haven't chosen my specs yet Cinny, got my voucher and prescription though so going to do it now
Went to see Inception last night, really enjoyed it but had to concentrate very hard!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
I haven't heard a bad review about Inception, giving it a miss though as I don't think my noggin could cope!!
Saying that, we're off to see a very hard hitting documentary at the cinema tomorrow, about Vampire cults and werewolves. *nods*
Whats everyone up to this weekend anyways? Can't believe it's Friday already! Got all Sunday to myself and I'm not sure what to do, keep on forgetting I have a car and can go places. Think I'll stay in and have a lazy day though, been pretty busy this week.0 -

Afraid I haven't actually heard about any gardens with a snitch! The treehouse restaurant in Alnwick gardens is fab, make sure you go, it's not even that expensive.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I want to work for Google too - that sounds amazing! Although I think I'd just love any kind of canteen. Or vending machine.
...
I think the marriage/kids/living together discussion has been really interesting, but as with most things, it's a case of whatever works for your situation. I agree that if you have babies with someone it's definitely less likely that you'll have a big white wedding afterwards, but that's not the same as 'getting married' (although that's a whole other discussion!!) And I think the same thing is probably true when you buy a house together - me and OH were engaged when we bought our flat and have totally re-evaluated our wedding plans. Hence we're having a new bathroom fittedincidentally, I'm still bathing in the kitchen sink...
Your weekend sounds good, Birdie! My news is that I start a trapeze course on Monday - i realise it's ridiculous, but i'm v excited! :j I quite want to see Inception this weekend; a few people have said that it helpfully recaps what's going every so often (for American audiences :rotfl:) so hopefully I'll understand what's going on!
