Hi Tink - sorry to hear about the holiday situation with OH :( 17 days is hugely long but think of all the guilt presents and then big cuddles when he's back :):)

I think holidays are a minimum of 20 days PLUS 8 bank holidays now. I'm excited as my employers are just putting in a flexible benefits system so I'll be able to "buy" another week's holiday, yay, that'll help for DD's l-o-n-g school holidays. I wouldn't be able to cope without my parents helping out already.

So, even bigger jump in our wedding shortfall savings target. Yesterday NIM went to get a quote on the rings from another place, and his mum bought them for us! Seems to be a lot more supportive than we imagined she'd be after past experiences. So now, happily, we're 22.37% of the way towards making up our wedding shortfall. If we could have another couple of weeks like this one we'd be laughing! We're currently on track for the wedding costing £10,052 excluding honeymoon - cut another £1550 and I'd even hit my gold target.

Great news about all the wedding savings Dinah!

Tink I'd be majorly annoyed too. Hope he makes it up to you.

Happy belated birthday Birdie! Hope you had a lovely day.

Percy is so cute Cinny! I miss seeing my cats all the time :(

Hope everyone is having a good weekend :) I am so broody at the moment and it's doing my head in. I so want my own house and family! Ah well, it'll come eventually!

I remember that phase, I was seriously broody about 3 years ago. But now I'm with the right man, and nearly have the house, I'm feeling kind of greedy, don't want to give up my life with him to clean nappies!

Spent this morning in B & Q. Spent £114 on basic decorating tools, white emulsion to do all the ceilings, and got LOTS of wallpaper samples ready to tape to the walls on Friday to decide which ones we want, then I can go about finding the best price on them.

oooh dinah thats good about the rings (more so that NIMs mum is being nice though than the money but both are good!) you will have smashed away the wedding shortfall soon! Especially like with finding people who can do bits and pieces for you!

NIMs Mum sounds like she's being nice! How is it having her there? Your wedding savings are going really well though :)

Hope you're all having nice weekends. I've just been looking after Percy some more and doing housework. Went shopping yesterday though and got a new tent, some torches and one of those foldy chairs! All excited now. Need to get the rest of the stuff sorted this afternoon while OH's at work (he lets me do all the fun stuff right?!)

What age are you Zig? From what I remember you are quite young. Enjoy spending time and going on lots of hols with your OH before you have babies. I love Max to bits and was really ready to have him, but I am so glad I spent my 20s seeing going to so many different places and also living in lots of different places. I don't feel like I am sacrificing anything now cos my clubbing days are well and truly over, that's not to say I still don't enjoy going out!!!

Great news about the rings Dinah :)

Why is this weeks to do list as long as last weeks started out at?! Productivity does not seem to actually resolve anything!

I've been thinking, and I think the decorating is going to cost a lot more than we budgetted for :undecided, so I really need to work very hard to get the best deals on everything.

Still haven't got a meeting regarding the new product, his designer hasn't done it yet, but it is still going ahead apparently. He's met with my dad on other stuff a few times, guess I just need to be patient.
