Sorry to hear that Tink, but I think he should be buying you a present!! I like doing things separately, but I'd be pretty gutted if it meant we couldn't go away (or even staycation!) together at all.
Cinny, that puppy is TOO cute! It's taking all my willpower not to go and rescue a puppy for OH's birthday on Monday  But I'm thinking that Eurostar tickets to Paris are *nearly* as good
Dinah, is that when your surgery will be, end of June? Is the physio making any difference at all? How long does he reckon the recovery time will be?LBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380 -
Yep thats the surgery daye Piddle. They stopped physio 2 weeks ago as it wasn't helping. But another 6 weeks nearly?! Argh!
Did he ask your opinion before he decided Tink, or is it a case of he wants to go with the lads, so he is? 17 days is a LOT of time to go away with them, and tbh having heard how long it is there is no chance on earth I'd apologise to him. It is nice to have breaks seperately with your friends, but not at the cost of holidays together.
Gonna give Tesco a bell, try to track down the missing clubcard points.
ETA: Tesco seem to think most of my points have tracked, need to wait for my statement next week, see if they have indeed.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Oh yeah, I meant to mention the wait for surgery, which sucks but sounds about right, OH had to wait 6 weeks to get the scan, another 6 weeks to see the specialist then another 6 weeks for the operation! It's mad when you think about it as they are trying to get people off the sick and back to work!
I'm waiting for an appointment with the pysio right now as I have a bunion (ick!) and want it fixing but I have to go through physio first to say that it isn't working so I can get referred for surgery but the doctor isn't even sure if I'll get it on the NHS as it is partially cosmetic... surely it would be better sorting it now rather than a few years down the line when it'll be a lot worse!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. 17 days?! Even a two week holiday is only 10 working days - 17 is a hell of a lot!
Six weeks a long time too, but you'll have a whole wardrobe of clothes made up by then hehe, has your lace arrived yet?
Ooh Paris Poddle, is that a bit of a present to yourself too?!
I think the fitflops are quite stylish! What's wrong with them?
Cinny I think you need to lend Percy to Birdie's colleague's dog!
Phew! You can tell it's Friday on here!!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Its not the lace I'm missing, its the damned tulle to attach it to. I can't believe anyone thinks its okay for it to take this long. Going to email now and kick off a bit!
Good luck on the bunion Birdie, they can be very painful as well as just not pretty can't they?Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

It's not too painful right now but it's starting to rub on my shoes and I don't want it getting worse! And I don't want to have to wear only sensible old lady shoes for the rest of my life!
How annoying about the tulle not arriving! Whilst the internet is super (and cheap) sometimes you just can't beat buying stuff in person so you can have it straight away!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. Aye but I couldn't find a suitable one in a real shop, the net is sadly far and away the best place to find fabric. I emailed her and she sent a stroppy reply 'must have been lost in the post then. I'll send another one'. No apology or anything! Lets see if this one arrives!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Getting there, slowly but surely. Fridays tend to be my 'day off', so I think I might cut out some quilt rectangles tomorrow. I'm also seeing my surgeon, so hopefully will have a knee update too.

Going to be a pretty nice weekend for me in the end, while NIM is escorting the she devil around nowhere because she doesn't want to go anywhere, I have some cupcakes to be making for a bring and share goodbye party on Monday night, I've finished cutting out my quilt so I might start sewing it together, failing that I might well have a crack at the skirt I have cut out which I lost the pattern to, see what I can come up with! Also going to try to get a bit further into the to do list so its mini next week.
NIM has gone to get his mum. All other flights have an expected arrival time but this one - and the Newcastle airport site has just changed to say 'we are sorry but due to volcanic ash the site is too busy and has gone down' is it wrong to hope she's been diverted?! Aberdeen would do but somewhere like Munich would be ideal!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Haha Dinah love the wishful thinking about NIM's Mums flight! Hope you have a good weekend making cupcakes and making the quilt and don't get too stressed out by NIM's Mum.
Tink - sorry to hear about the fall out, where is it he is going for that long?My OH didn't want to come down to Southampton for my friends birthday last weekend when he was off and this weekend I am going to my friends and he has gone to Southampton typical. I had a bit of an argument with him about last weekend.
I have got a cold yuck but hoping to feel OK tomorrow to go to a bbq at my friends in Oxford.0 -
A lady I work with has just been telling me about her dog, she's having a phantom pregnancy! She keeps being sick and she's starting to nest and take care of toys like babies. How odd and sad is that?!
My cat carries her toys around all the time, takes them to bed with her and meows at them - sometimes even puts them down by her food bowl. We always call them her babies
Must be horrible for the poor dog to keep being sick aswell though
Dinah - not at all horrible that your hoping MIL has been diverted :rotfl:
