Just popping in to say I'm amazed at the dress! If I hadn't seen the pattern myself I'd think you'd bought it! Well done! Plenty to live up to there!!! Speak to all you girls tomorrow! xx

    Hi Dinah,

Well I made a batch of carrot and orange soup last night - I think I used too much curry powder, it is vile! I had to reduce the ingredients as I didn't have an Ikea vat, but didn't reduce the curry powder enough! It looks so tasty as well, but is unedible! Back to the drawing board I guess, or maybe stick to my carrot and coriander, ha!

Wow Dinah, that dress is lovely! Like a modern twist on a Regency dress with the shorter/more fitted skirt. Very jealous of your sewingness! :D Good luck with your list for this week. Sounds very busy!

    Have fun in London Birdie!

Haha Swinstie you sound like my Dad, he puts curry powder in everything - stews, mince and dumplings - you name it - I'm surprised he doesn't have it in his porridge! As a consequence I don't eat with him very often anymore!

Yes have fun Birdie, hope it's lovely and sunny for you!

my dad loves a bit of curry sauce on his food lol!! dont know how he can even eat it really!
The dress looks nice Dinah! I always find commercial patterns to be soo expensive :( have you found somewhere good to buy them? I have a lot of old vintagey ones but the thing is that sizes have changed so much since then that it is hard to make them fit nicely :(

I'm so impressed with the dress Dinah! That's a big tick off your list and also it doesn't look like you need to lose another 10lbs - where's it going to come from?!

Have a super time in London, Birdie! The weather is supposed to perk up in a bit - yay!

I buy mine at Boyes, which is a godsend local shop full of all kinds of tat but also have big habidashery departments. They usually have one make on 50% or 75% off, so I'll just buy from which ever catalogue is on offer that week! Been waiting a year for the vogue patterns to go on sale though, and they never do!

Apparently at 5ft 6.5" the optimum weight for my height is 8stone 11lbs, I'm 13lbs over this atm so still a canny way to go!
