Thanks dippykitty, good to meet you too! Yeah, my back ...... at least the physio appt came round quite quickly, it took 3 weeks from my dr's referral for the hospital to get in touch and 4 weeks for the appt.
So let's hope is a positive outcome from the appointment next week. Watch this space!DEBT FREE SINCE SEPTEMBER 2015 :beer::beer:0 -
Hello DE, nice to meet you, and you're only up the road! Well done for reading through the whole lot - I tried that with Fay's stripey socks diary but never managed to quite catch up and now she's on a new one and I've lost the plot with it completely! Hope you feel better soon!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Hi everyone,
I am a very very long time lurker (that sounds so bad!). I started to read Dinah's very first diary just before Christmas and have just finished, last night, to catch up. So I am glad to admit I am right up to date. I feel like I kind of know everyone and feel like a bit of a fraud due to looking in from the outside and keeping up with everyone's news and photos and links to other blogs and diaries yet nobody has any idea that I have been there so its time to say hello.
I am inspired by the determination and honesty of all members and friends on this diary.
I have been down the long and nasty road of bad debt and got myself into deep trouble and declared myself bankrupt at the beginning of 2000. This was my only option at the time and although everything is correct and mended on my credit scoring or ratings (or whatever the terminology is these days) my bankruptcy still manages to creep up behind me and bite me again - very few and far between these days but its always there. I am glad I did go down that route as I was in a very bad place at the time.
But now I have managed to rack up a bit of debt (nothing like previous). I can't class it as bad debt as it is manageable but I am working very hard to get rid and my snowball is predicting 30 months time I will be debt free.
I am spending hours and hours on ebay selling stuff which I used to enjoy but it is now very time consuming and is more a chore these days.
I have tried match betting in the past and really figured it out but then lost my interest so need to get my maths head on again and get that up and running.
Unfortunately over the past three weeks I have been suffering from a bad back and awaiting physio (which is next Wednesday - Yay!) and have been off work. Great!!! I should be able to catch up with ebay, clear the spare room, start with the match betting, read up on starting a business with my sister etc etc. Oh no! No chance - due to the stupid amount of pain killer, anti-inflamatory, muscle relaxant medication I have been prescribed I have been completely spaced and managed to achieve absolutely zilch. Oh yes and I haven't been able to move anything, lift anything, iron anything or even plant seeds to get my veg going!
So that is how I have managed to catch up - over the last three weeks I have managed to read between 10 and 30 pages of the diaries each day, usually whilst lying in a hot bath trying to relax.
So a big hello to everyone here.
I probably won't be a regular poster on here but may pop up from time to time but at least now I have had the chance to say hi!
Keep up the very very good work everyone, I promise I will too.

aka dirtyepicHi Birdie85, pleased to eventually meet you. Yeah, the back's a right pain in the behind.
I do stints of travelling to different parts of the country for my job and it looks like that has triggered it. So I have to make sure it's 100% okay before I get back to work. When I am on my laptop or watching TV I have to get up from my seat every 15 minutes and walk around so I have to set an alarm on my phone to remind me! I am also driving the long and exciting road to the Glastonbury Festival at the end of June so I WILL BE BETTER BY THEN!!! (capitals indicating sheer determination and not me shouting!!)
I am one of these saddos who can't actually relax. I have to be doing something even when watching the telly or I have to read the newspaper whilst eating my tea or drinking a cup of coffee!! So these past three weeks have been extremely difficult for me!
Hi there great to meet a lurker. I commend you for reading through so many reams and reams of us blithering on about absolutely nothing, with the occassional budget thrown in for good measure!
I'm the same on the 'must do 10 things at once front'. I can't just sit and watch tv, unless I'm really ill. Equally I got a 17" laptop so I could have two windows side by side and be reading a thread and watching a movie at once and the like.
Listed 51 things up onto ebay this evening.
Made a work mate of kieran's the most diabolical cake I think I have ever created to celebrate his 30th birthday. A piccie will go on the blog in the next few days. Anyone thinking of buying the Magnolia bakery cookbook hold off until you see this!
Went to see our conveyancing solicitor, signed the documents, and authorised her to exchange contracts whenever, however sticking to our guns about not completing until the 20th-25th. I'd like to exchange though, so we know its definately ours!
Despite not finishing quite all the ebay stuff, tomorrow will be a fun day. Going to cut out a dress and hopefully start it, and my brother and I are going to make some cranberry flapjack.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
