If you can get the hang of MB you'll knock that overspending on the head in not time at all! I'm still being super rubbish at extra moneymaking although I've just had £90 tracked through TCB for contents insurance, cat insurance and a small flutter on the Grand National so I was pleased with that!LBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380

Ohh matched betting that is brave. I am too scared to go near it!
Good news for us, I 'think' my sister is back in the country after her bf went mental at Virgin for saying they couldn't get back on the flight they were told was cancelled and to rebook for another. They got back on it now and should be home.
Bad news is we were meant to be moving most the stuff today but the van OH's Dad was going to hire was broken and there are no others so has been moved to Sunday but is annoying as OH's working nights so won't get much sleep.0 -
Forgot about weigh in again! A day late, and someone who rated me must have been chucked off as I've lost points!

Hi everyone,
I am a very very long time lurker (that sounds so bad!). I started to read Dinah's very first diary just before Christmas and have just finished, last night, to catch up. So I am glad to admit I am right up to date. I feel like I kind of know everyone and feel like a bit of a fraud due to looking in from the outside and keeping up with everyone's news and photos and links to other blogs and diaries yet nobody has any idea that I have been there so its time to say hello.
I am inspired by the determination and honesty of all members and friends on this diary.
I have been down the long and nasty road of bad debt and got myself into deep trouble and declared myself bankrupt at the beginning of 2000. This was my only option at the time and although everything is correct and mended on my credit scoring or ratings (or whatever the terminology is these days) my bankruptcy still manages to creep up behind me and bite me again - very few and far between these days but its always there. I am glad I did go down that route as I was in a very bad place at the time.
But now I have managed to rack up a bit of debt (nothing like previous). I can't class it as bad debt as it is manageable but I am working very hard to get rid and my snowball is predicting 30 months time I will be debt free.
I am spending hours and hours on ebay selling stuff which I used to enjoy but it is now very time consuming and is more a chore these days.
I have tried match betting in the past and really figured it out but then lost my interest so need to get my maths head on again and get that up and running.
Unfortunately over the past three weeks I have been suffering from a bad back and awaiting physio (which is next Wednesday - Yay!) and have been off work. Great!!! I should be able to catch up with ebay, clear the spare room, start with the match betting, read up on starting a business with my sister etc etc. Oh no! No chance - due to the stupid amount of pain killer, anti-inflamatory, muscle relaxant medication I have been prescribed I have been completely spaced and managed to achieve absolutely zilch. Oh yes and I haven't been able to move anything, lift anything, iron anything or even plant seeds to get my veg going!
So that is how I have managed to catch up - over the last three weeks I have managed to read between 10 and 30 pages of the diaries each day, usually whilst lying in a hot bath trying to relax.
So a big hello to everyone here.
I probably won't be a regular poster on here but may pop up from time to time but at least now I have had the chance to say hi!
Keep up the very very good work everyone, I promise I will too.

Hi Birdie85, pleased to eventually meet you. Yeah, the back's a right pain in the behind.
I do stints of travelling to different parts of the country for my job and it looks like that has triggered it. So I have to make sure it's 100% okay before I get back to work. When I am on my laptop or watching TV I have to get up from my seat every 15 minutes and walk around so I have to set an alarm on my phone to remind me! I am also driving the long and exciting road to the Glastonbury Festival at the end of June so I WILL BE BETTER BY THEN!!! (capitals indicating sheer determination and not me shouting!!)
I am one of these saddos who can't actually relax. I have to be doing something even when watching the telly or I have to read the newspaper whilst eating my tea or drinking a cup of coffee!! So these past three weeks have been extremely difficult for me!DEBT FREE SINCE SEPTEMBER 2015 :beer::beer:0 -
I'm a bit like that, I'm always doing 2 things at once but I'm good at relaxing in a sense because 90% of the time I'm doing something sedentary!
I like the idea of Glastonbury but I know that I'd hate it in reality, feeling dirty, sleeping in a tent, getting jostled by strangers... I'd have a breakdown!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

Glad you decided to stop lurking! Sorry to hear about your back problems - it sounds like you've got the rough end of the stick there but fingers crossed your physio helps!ISA savings: £25,139 Other Savings: £1750 (tied up in bond)0 -

Hahahaha! A lot of people say that about sleeping in a tent, feeling dirty etc etc but I have been making the annual pilgrimage now for so many years we have a massive group head down and meet up there and bring all home comforts and essentials to make it as homely and clean as possible. Although the only thing I hate when I am there are the campfires and the lads in our group get their alphamale heads on and go out hunting for firewood (I kid you not!) and every evening we have a campfire but the smoke always seems to follow me, wherever I sit and gets in my eyes! there's always someone asleep still sitting at the fire in their deckchair when we get up from our tents in the morning, if its not raining!
We have bacon sandwiches in stotties and bloody mary's for a substantial breakfast with a kick! Blimey I am so excited!!! Its only 61 sleeps till I go - so I will have to save save save £'s and lose lose lose lbs!DEBT FREE SINCE SEPTEMBER 2015 :beer::beer:0
