Thanks eternal sunshine! Its not exactly what I wanted but it has prompted me to delve a bit deeper, I am still stuck but had an online chat with an epson guy and he said plain paper setting uses the least, which is kind of what I'm looking for but hey! I am not doing well today with it all0

Sorry I can't help tink! Don't really have time today to be looking either, maybe try ringing HP/Epson/Canon? They might help if you explain that it's research for uni?
It is payday for me (Yay!) and after moving money into the joint account and paying some off my CCs and putting some aside for London I'm left with £45 a week! (Boo!). So much for buying myself pretty Barbie t-shirts! I'll be heading to Primark for the accessories I need for the wedding we're going to!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Good news about the deposit, Dinah!
I've had the last of my freelance payments through for March today so I've been able to put £642 into the ISA over the last couple of weeks to bump the emergency fund up to £5,250. That's 75% of my target so I'm leaving that alone now and concentrating on building the semi-regular expenses account back up to £1k as that's what I use to fund eyecare costs, dental costs, prescriptions, presents and anything else that's not a monthly outgoing so I'm not caught out if I get any more unexpected expenses (like the eye test and new glasses that I need sometime soon and hadn't banked on having to have!).
On the DY front, I did a random and not very fantastic review yesterday just to get something going again and I'm planning a book review later when I've finished off this bit of work that I'm behind on. Anyone else done any since yesterday morning that I probably won't have read and rated yet?ISA savings: £25,139 Other Savings: £1750 (tied up in bond)0 -
Its ok, i knew it was a long shot! Thanks Eternal sunshine though, and for the ideas birdie!

Just rated three of yours Tink as there turned out to be two more that I hadn't rated yet. Submitted my book review a little while ago but stumped for ideas now!ISA savings: £25,139 Other Savings: £1750 (tied up in bond)0

On the plus side, I found my black MAC eyeliner today which I had lost for ages and even asked the boy for a new one for my birthday!0 -

At 4am this morning when I still couldn't sleep I wrote an incredably long post on my annoyingly difficult phone - and then when I pressed 'post' it did the whole 'the message you have entered is too short' rubbish - Argh! It wasn't! It was an hours worth of typing!!!
Anyway, on Friday I had an idea for a product which I think could be reasonably successful and would fill a gap in the market, and on the same day I was approached by a contact looking for ideas he could develop. He is excited by my idea, and I am now trying to come up with some kind of business model/proposal for him to see if it is viable to take it forward as a joint venture. I'm aware it could well fall flat, but if it doesn't this could be a huge turning point for me.
In other news on saturday NIMs dad sent over the house deposit, which will arrive by Wednesday. He got a really good rate, and then rounded the deposit up to a round £26,000, on a 2 parts loan 1 part gift basis. This is really great as its about £3500 more than we were expecting, so we have decided to do the bathroom before moving in, and replace the flooring in some rooms. This still means we need to find about £6000 somehow between now and the wedding, but we feel a lot more optemistic none the less.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

That's brilliant news Dinah - on both counts! Good luck with your business plan - very intriguing (although I'm not daft enough to ask you to share it on a public forum
) Do you have an idea of exchange / completion dates now?
