Oh I had that problem with that A&L account Birdie! I WAS putting £500 a month in too, but the way I had the standing order set up, if there was a bank holiday or short month like Feb, and the money didn't go in til the next month, they charged me! I swiftly closed it too!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

oooh thats so bad! I bet youll be a real trainers convert when its all fixed (finger crossed it can be fixed!!) I thought I had heard of something similar to the growing thing though yeah but it is really bad that you have it now and so young
I am really rooting for you and hope it can get fixed!!
on another and completely random note (i am soooo not a psyco girlfriend honest!) I was looking at weddings the other day, and it is so expensive! I never really realised before! Like minimum £40 a head for food, OMG. Rip off!! Dinah where have you decided on for yours?
God no, I hate trainers! I can't wait to get back in my heels!
There are a few places that do £27ish menus, but they're not the places you dream of, they're not awful either. If you are prepared to go off season ie October - March often prices are 25-50% off. Especially if you are willing to go on a Tuesday-Thursday. We're going to Grinkle Park, which we liked as we get the entire hotel exclusively ours, and it has gorgeous grounds, open fires etc, looking at about £55 a head including the drinks (which you need, we're going for an arrival drink while photos are taken, two glasses of wine with the meal, and then a glass of champagne for the toast). One of the things we liked about Grinkle was that it seemed good value, other places were charging around £70 a head for a similar menu, most of that was just mark ups on drinks.I had a fall out with A&L on Saturday, my old current account was with them but when we moved in together I changed to Halifax and I just remembered the old A&L account so I had a look at it and they've been charging me £5 a month under funding fee! Gits! Luckily I had a bit of money left in there so it never went overdrawn (which would have cost even more!) but still! I feel robbed! The account has now been closed! I then went to withdraw my money from Butlins Bingo and the bank account details they have are my A&L ones so I'm going to have to make a phone call to change my details so I actually get my money as you can't do it online with money in your account! Grrrr.
They did that to me when the account was supposed to be frozen, it took it over drawn, which they then added a £50 a time OD charge on, came to several hundred quid, all in charges from them charging me for the charges they'd already applied!
DON'T CALL BUTLINS! I did because my bank card was a new issue, and they cancelled my account because I hadn't funded in a long time and it was all from freebie scratchies. All you can do is play through the money to get it to 0 again and then add the new card online.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Well that's a bummer, I've got £13 in my Butlins account! Grrrr... looks like I'll be playing lots of Bingo tonight to lose my hard earned scratchcard winnings!
The useless insurance policy that I cancelled has annoyed me too since we're on the subject of stupid charges, it was with L&G and we have 4 separate policies with them, all were coming out of my personal account (well, one of my accounts, I hardly use it as I can't find the debit card and have no idea what the PIN is! I just use it to store money until I want to spend it when I transfer it into my spendy account!) and when it came to renew the policies I rang them up to change the payment details to our joint account. Well only 2 were changed so the other 2 came out of my bank account which didn't have enough in so I got charged £18 for going into my OD! Grrrr. I've just been annoyed with charges akimbo recently! Hopefully I'm getting on top of things so it won't happen again! I just have to remember to steal £41 out of the joint account on payday to replenish my (little) London fund in that account!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. Is this the London trip with your mum? I used to go with my mum every year, and now haven't been in about 3 years, would love to take NIM as he's never been there.
While we're on the subject NIM once said to me 'I've been to New York' last night it emerged he'd been to JFK airport for 6 hours waiting for a connecting flight - that doesn't count!!!
So, I've decided to change my 6 week challenge majorly. I am now VERY focussed on actually organising the baking into a business. No more pratting about with £5 here and there on Etsy, I've decided to take the plunge. I've decided to keep the business planning seperate from my diary here. I'll post a link to where I am planning it later if anyone wants to follow it (please do!), but by the 14th of May I hope to be a lot further forward in terms of setting up as a business to earn myself a formal second income.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Yep, not long now, only 3 weeks! I shouldn't need too much as Mum's paying for the train, hotel and tickets to a show but we're going halves on food... so I'm going to be getting loads of vouchers before we go!
LOL@ NIM, was he trying to show off and look well travelled or just a bit confused?!
Sounds like a plan for the baking, hope it goes well!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Nope - he genuinely thinks that that 'counts' as having been there!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Aren't airports international territory or something so they don't even count?!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Lol quite possibly! I said 'did you stand under the empire state building with awe? Did you do a silly pose in front of the statue of liberty? Did you go to Time Square? Macys? Get a little brown bag? Go to Magnolia bakery?' at which point he broke in with 'yes! There is one in the airport!' and I threw a cupcake at him!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I once landed in Bermuda in a place for about 30 mins, does that mean I have been there? Hehe
What a nightmare about the account Birdie!
Dinah - I am the complete opposite, I only wear heals when I am out and even then I don't do it that often now so kills me! I do wear healed boots occassionally to work but I have to walk for 15 mins to the tube so kills my feet.
I rang the estate agents about new flat today as we haven't had contract yet but apparently is with Landlord. They said everything is going through OK though and we should have keys on the 16th, need to book the day off to get them and start moving some stuff in.0 -
Not long now then! You must be excited! I'm like you, hardly ever wear heels because I feel like a transvestite as they make me so tall, when I do I always have sore calves the next day!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0
