Hi, everyone hope you are all well. I know that it may have seemed that I had fallen off the face of the earth but I have been rather busy. We have just arrived back from center parcs and we all had a great time. I for one found it very relaxing and completly forgot about school and all the marking I have to do before I go back.

We got a call while we were there regarding the mortgage, not good news I afraid. We were looking to borrow an additional £72,000 to pay off CC and convert the building we own. We haven't had the full feedback but as it stands they won't give us the mortgage. We will contact them on Tuesday and see what they have to say. We already have planning past to convert so we may look into selling it as it stands.

I also need to look into insurance cover we have with the morgage as I may be able to make a claim now that OH is not working.

Right I am going to spend the next hour catching up so please type slowly.

That's a shame about the mortgage. Glad you had a good time at CP though!

  • Thanks Dippy I now need to have a rethink. Does any one know how to go about freezing or reducing cc interest without going into VL or going bankrupt. I have heard there are a few companies that help.

    Well done Tink!

Hi CMD and Max , had a great trip. The conference was excellent, some great papers and I met some wonderful new friends. It was exciting and scary to be making my way around the big city alone. It was great, apart from some people staring and calling out to me because I am so pale. Nothing was nasty but I am not used to being exotic, LOL.

ROTE sorry to hear about the mortgage. Selling up is one possibility as I guess you will make money from the planning permission? The other info you're looking for is here. You could think about a Debt Management Plan where the creditors freeze your interest in order to get back the original debt. The CCCS will be able to take you through the options. With a DMP I think you will get defaults on your file, but I don't think that's too bad. What's your SOA, is there anything we could help you to cut down on? Sounds like you have been working really hard - hugs :grouphug:

    Hi guys,

Well done Tink on the scratchies! Love it when that happens.

ROTE - sorry to hear about the mortgage, hope someone can help with the other stuff.I am a bit clueless myself!

We have been to Ikea today and also to Westfield. We didn't buy anything in Ikea but we have chosen the drawers and bedside tables we want. Really need to get in the flat and measure it all up though first.

I got some holiday stuff in Westfield so have started building that up. Two months to go but good to start getting it together. I got a pair of plimsoles, a pair of black flip flops to replace the ones I love that are falling apart and some thing strapped sandals.I got all those in New Look and had a 20% off voucher so was quite cheap.I also got a dress in h and m and a cardy which is probably more for now than holiday.
