Thats wishful thinking Birdie! I'd love it the other way round, be a good little housewife. But i'm playing that role at the moment and getting thoroughly fed up :o

Its quiet on here today. Where's everyone hiding? Hope noones having a really bad Monday.

No money news or anything, feeling a bit like nothings gonna ever get better. In one of those depressed moods. Im sure i'll snap out of it soon enough. :o

I hope your OH is feeling better Flower, you don't want him working so hard when he's not feeling well. At least he's 'only' rota'd in for 56 hours this week! Is there are light at the end of the tunnel or is he going to be working like this for the forseeable future?

There is light at the end of the tunnel thank god. He had to give someone an immediate dismissal without notice because she was caught steeling and someone else quit without giving notice - hence the rediculous hours.
He has advertised 3 vacancies in the jobcentre so hopefully will be able to get some interviews done soon and get some new staff. I hope so because i have hardly seen anything of him!

My OH? He works 2-10 in a warehouse, speeding around on trucks and messing around yet earning more than I do! It doesn't seem fair! We're struggling to get him a job working normal hours as he's being spoilt where he is at the minute and we can't afford for him to take a pay cut. Hence why I want to get a super well paid job! No idea how I'm going to manage that though!

Hope your OH finds some decent employees soon Flower!

Hope your OH manages to get someone soon and cut down his hours Flower, must be getting some good money though!

The annoying thing about having a salary job is that I don't get any more money even when I have to work late.I don't do it that often though.

Dinah - hope the knee is feeling better today.

Yea its definitely swings and roundabouts with the salary thing. Is annoying he isnt on a salary when he doesnt have many hours, but when he works all these extra hours its great that he will be getting paid alot more. Cant wait til we both have a day over together so we can do something nice - but wont be for well over a week now :(

Birdie - OH keeps saying he would love to be a house husband until i reminded him he would actually have to do housework :rotfl:

I get a scary ammount of satisfaction from housework, I love everything being spotless and in its place.

Knee still rubbish today. Don't really know how I spent the day really. Hoping to get some painting done tomorrow though.

On the up side the survey for the house has been commissioned for Thursday, very exciting and scary too - now it's do or die time for the deposit.

I love a tidy environment and once it is tidy and clean I try to keep it that way but if something goes wrong and it gets messy I really can't motivate myself to tidy it up, like our spare room! I have to really be in the mood (and not forced) to do housework which is why I'll be a rubbish housewife as I'll never be in the mood because I have to do it!

OH on the other hand is like a demon when it comes to cleaning and tidying, although I wish he'd stop making a point about the spare room and just sort it out already! Although I can't win because if he did I'd just get cross that he's put things in the wrong place!
