Matched betting is definitely something my OH can do. He knows what he's doing already and all we need is a float to get going, but getting him to do it is another story :rotfl:I would do it, but dont trust myself for obvious reasons.
I suppose it just feels like we've hit a wall, dont seem to be getting anywhere.
Wish i was created enough to do something on Etsy etc but dunno how much people would be willing to pay for my matchstick people.0 -
I'll make you my patron if your room does Cinny
Aye she needs to make a decision and stick to it. It sounds like a shallow reason, however if she doesn't have those feelings for him anymore nothing is going to recreate them, and it may be that she feels he is weak and should be handling things better and does not respect him. And most people need to respect their other half. While no one is proud of it, a lot of us have also fallen for one person while with another. It might just be grass is greener syndrome, but equally it could be that she has outgrown the first relationship, less than 1 in 20 relatinships that make it to marriage were formed in teenage years because we change so much in our early 20s. I'm just saying this is probably actually quite hard for her to do, she's been with him a long time and its a big change, so even if he is a great guy, they might not be great together, so try not to be mad at her.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Lulu, I think it is this time of year. The nights are getting lighter and people want to be able to go out and do things. This means the debt busting goes to one side. Mrs Poolie and I spent a great weekend doing things but was not very money wise (Petrol and food out).
It will get better shortly. At the moment there is £62 on CC which I am looking at but not 100% worried about it yet as it can be paid when I get paid at the end of the month. Also our car is going to need a service shortly (minor one) and that will end up on the CC for a month or so just till everything settles down.
The £62 is due to me booking flights to Glasgow for June and also paying for the car parking at Heathrow for this weekend. It will all come good shortly.0 -

Sounds like your sister's BF might be better off Cinny! If she's lost interest and flirting with other men then it's probably time to go their separate ways. I feel sorry for him though, everyone has times when they're no fun because of bad things happening, you need someone to stand by you and support you, not whinge because you're boring!
ETA: Dinah said it all a lot more eloquently that I did! Hehe.
I want to try MB, but I think OH will be better at it as he's more mathsy and betting savvy than I am!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
There are spreadsheets available for the MB0

I said that to my OH last night then felt really guilty!
Hmm - I think you're right Dinah! Last night I said how it sounds like her OH is depressed and she said 'Well I don't want to be with someone who can't handle life at 20' So that's the less respect part! She's seeing him today, so hopefully her mind's made up either way now. It's just the way she's acting is so not her, I just want my sister back!
I think I might look into MB-ing today, see if I can get my mind around it! Where can I get those spreadsheets Poolie?0 -
Poolie i'd also like to know where i can find the spreadsheets, if you can point us in the right direction?
Dinah, if you wanted to do a book, why would your ex be holding you back? Sorry, i know you had problems with him, but i dont understand. I might be missing something?
Do you think it could be time to cut your credit card up, like you suggested to Birdie the other day? No chances to rack it up then. I considered doing it, but until i get a job, i think i should keep them incase of emergencies.
Have you tried selling your prints anywhere else? How about an ebay shop or something? Not sure how they work. Would probably cost more to list, knowing ebay!0 -
Because he was violent, and the last thing I want is him being 'outed' as not only would it have legal implications, but I would spend the rest of my life looking over my shoulder. And he's certainly not adverse to setting fire to my house, or killing my cat or something because I 'deserve' it.
No point cutting up the credit card - I wouldn't be able to pay for the house survey, the conveyancing etc. Assuming NIMs dad gives us the deposit this will come off it again, but in the meantime I don't have it sat around. The books is the first thing I spent on it that wasn't a nessessity in months.
Ebay is a nightmare for art, I did it once, never again!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I wouldnt bother beating yourself up about the books. Yes, they werent needed and yes, you did buy eight, but they're only books at the end of the day and you rarely spend your money on anything interesting or fun for you and NIM. Its your treat to yourself. We all need one every now and again.
Why are you waiting until you move before you apply for a 0% card, is there a reason you cant get one now?
Yeah i wasnt sure about ebay, it would probably be for rock bottom prices anyway. Any more sales on Etsy?
I've just sold another DVD on Amazon, so brings my total to just over £2200
