Morning all! I read through and caught up yesterday but was too tired to post, so from what I remember:
Great news Dinah about the mortgage but nightmare about the wedding money - like you say though you'll soon have it paid off and although it's not ideal to start married life in debt, you are doing it all in a short space of time so it's unavoidable really.
Dress is lovely Birdie, I really like the asymmetric waist on it, unusual. And glad to hear you didn't want to take it off!
Brill news about the funding Lara, it'll be nice not to have to worry about having to work while you're studying too. Shame about the insurance for you though Wendz.
CMD, glad all looks well, painful pelvis sounds horrible, looked at your profile and see you were online last night so I guess no Valentines baby for you? For the best for the baby really, I'm 2 days before and it's bad enough - I always get a late birthday card in a red or pink envelope and it's so disappointing!
No news here really, am skint and poorly! But I have some nice pans!
ETA - well done Poolie! Now just the wife to pay back??Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Tete - Yeah just Mrs Poolie as she is worse than any loan shark! At least she will be getting another £520 (£500 from me and £20 care of good friends quidco) at the beginning of the month.
Once she is paid, I am planning on getting a Barclays Monthly Saver (have worked it out better rates than the ISA and will earn more over the year post tax) and paying in £250 per month.0 -
wow poolie well done for paying off your loan that must feel great
and you sound well on the way to paying back Mrs Poolie!
Birdie that dress news is very exciting and i really like the dress and LOVE the headband !!
Anyone know where Cinny's got to?
I haven't had a very productive weekend and I am getting behind with work so I got a bit upset yesterday and I just don't knowThe boy took me iceskating though which was lovely but it was really expensive - deffo didnt used to cost that much!
Just for a treat though so I don't really mind.
I really need to get me and the boy into good proper saving again now though, and I need to write some reviews! one more till I've done 100! but I really can't think of anything to write about0 -

Hi all,
I was wondering where Cinny is as well, miss her!
Tink - last year of uni is always stressful, sounds like your OH is doing a good job if looking after you.
Poolie - well done on the loan! Bet you are really pleased.
Not much news with me, had a nice meal at lunch yesterday for Mums Birthday and Dad paid, even better. OH got me some chocs and a card, didn't see much of him as he was working nights this weekend.
We have found a place that we could rent a house in rather than a flat in a nice green area. It is out of London but only takes 30 mins on train to get in, so wouldn't add too much to my jounrney. Some people OH works with live there and say is really nice. The rent is a bit cheaper as well so we are going to look into that. Would be so nice to be out of the city.0 -
Oh definitely Wendz, a nice bit of green space! One of my caveats when looking for a place is that we need to have our own private outside space, even if it's just a yard with some plant pots in, I wouldn't want to live in a flat again.Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0
