Dont most books only sell for 1p on Amazon!? I dont get it, how do people do it? Probably just being dumb
Anyone used Music Magpie before?
Feeling a bit better now, finally finished a review on Dooyoo, so will get rating others now :T0 -
Hi lulu, I've sold loads on musicmagpie, but I always have two screens open, to check the price on Amazon before putting CDs/DVDs on there. I found CDs/DVDs tend to sell quite well on Amazon.0

fiction tends to be 1p, so you get £1.42 for postage after fees etc, for thin paperbacks this still makes about 50p profit, but generally I don't bother with fiction, I just swap it for new books on readitswapit, its only non fiction or large print fiction I sell on Amazon, as well as CDs, DVDs and games.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Hey Birdie
I don't think you're selfish wanting to go abroad. Just go on ahead and do what you want. It must be annoying that people are saying one thing to you and another thing to someone else.
It sounds like you want something fun, relaxed, romantic and unusual. If you think about ways to make that atmosphere happen I don't think it'll matter who is there or not, you will have a great time with all your nearest and dearest!:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -
Hello everyone
Hope you're all ok? I haven't checked the posts I've missed this week yet cos I've been running from pillar to post  The good news is that my nephew should leave hospital next week and go to rehab at Headley Court so the trips up and down to Birmingham will cease. I love him to bits but it'll be good that he's moving on and getting his life back and I can spend more time working on getting some money together. Bless him, he offered to buy us a boiler last week as our boiler bust but after what he's been through there was no way I was taking it. The boiler man didn't take credit cards so I've had to take a loan out to pay for it which is a bit annoying but I've got it over a year so this time next year it'll be gone.
Hopefully this month will be easier as I'm not spending out on car insurance and boilers etc although it is OH's birthday (the big 50 ) so will be buying him a superduper present!
I have managed to reduce the Virgin Card a bit as the old car insurance policy refunded outstanding money back to the card so my signature looks a bit better. We're also going to do a car boot sale (when frostbite isn't a risk!!!) and I've persuaded OH to sell his DJ CD mixing desk that he has used twice!
Anyway, have a good week everyone xxLet's start again (really need a kick up the bum now) :wall:Virgin CC £9793.710 -
wow all this wedding talk is confusing! Birdie I think you should do whatever YOU want to do, and if its only you and your OH there at the dominican, then stuff them. It is a big ask I think though for people with not much money and not much time off work, but I think if you have a party at home too and they tell you to your face about their intentions it would be fine?!
done 2 dooyoos today so feel good on that target (£50 by the end of march) I'm about halfway there so yey!! Just need to keep this up!
Dinah hows the leg? Hope you're ok and the scan is at least now in the same month!
Lulu I am seeing Feb as the new Jan too, we even had a new years party on sunday lol! January was rubbish!
Seeing my boyfriend on friday for the weekend but I miss him loadsits rubbish!

Thanks for the sensible words of advice girls! I think I'm just going to go ahead and do what I want to do! I was looking online at other places to go to get married last night but none felt particularly right and we can't afford to go out for a reccy before the wedding and what if it's rubbish when we get there? We know we like the place we've chosen and I had a dream about it last night so it must be the place to choose! The only place I'd rather get married is Negril in Jamaica on a Sandals Wedding but that's far too expensive so it's off the cards... never even came close to being on the cards TBH!
I'm getting lots of ideas for our party at home too, I'm going to have beach balls all over the place for people to play with and lots of bright colours- turquoise, pink and orange- on the tables and walls, lots of leis all over the place. I would like a corner with a hammock and some (real, rented from a garden centre) palm trees but I can't find a 'cheap' hammock with a stand so I'm trying to find someone who 'needs' one for their garden this summer so I can borrow it! I want to serve food on these and put these on the tables and release these when it is dark! Fun! I can't wait!
Pilchard, it's good that your nephew is coming out of hospital, you must be glad. He sounds like a star to be offering you help when he's had such a terrible time himself recently. How's he coping with everything?
Tink, the weekend will soon be here! How much longer will you and you BF have to live apart?Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Lulu - I've just sent 30 CDs off to Music Magpie last monday and am getting £22-something for them, quite happy just to be getting rid of them. Haven't heard anything about my money yet but will keep you posted!
Pilchard - it never rains but it pours for you eh? Sorry to hear about having to get a loan but at least that refund has helped. Your nephew sounds amazing and very strong, if I was in his place I don't think I'd be feeling quite so generous to other people, glad he'll be moving closer to home x

I don't know, there is no plan yet really and I think thats what I dont like... If there was a plan of like 8 months or something I think I would be fine, but everything is so in limbo because of jobs and job hunting and money etc. At least untill the summer though, and realistically a few years after that. aarrgh! I know its lame but he lives really too far away (3hours in good traffic) to see him all the time and the petrol costs are massive0
