Found a job back in Scotland which I might actually have a good shot at (internal transfer).

Have worked on the application over the weekend and hopefully my current line manager will give me a hand going over it today. Feel a little bad as I get on well with my line manager, but we want to get back to Scotland eventually and this would just accelerate things a little. £250k for a small house here, or £100k in Scotland? No brainer really....

GF thought that it was a strong enough application and put across my skills without resorting to too much management carp. I'm still not entirely satisfied that it's complete tho...

Sounds good, Ed! :) And who ever felt that an application was 'perfect'?

    Best of luck. :T

Cheers guys - application has been submitted - the process closes on the 31st (my birthday). I'll already be on holiday for Easter by then, so it can wait 'til I get back to the office :)

Very little competition for the post that I know of, but hearsay and rumour are fickle friends.
