Cheers Pickle - I'm sure it'll be fine. Still, thank flip it's t'weekend!
Have requested some time off from work, so I'm off for a huuuuge 11 days in a row over the Easter period0 -
Hi edinburgher, hope the chat with the doc went ok. Know the feeling about clearing out paperwork, I have shredded 10 bags worth, why I kept half of it I don't know. The scary thing is the last time I did this I found I had six credit cards on the go at the one time, eek!0

I just settled my final outstanding debt at a decent discount and this time next week I will be debt free!!!!!
I'm shaking - it's taken me 7 years or so to get here! Where's the 'blubbing' smiley?0 -

Have a wee celebration this weekend
We already started - a half price bottle of killer red from Sainsbury's, steaks the size of our heads, home made straw fries and a rocket salad. {Relaxed burp}What a great feeling that must be.
It really, really is. I never thought that any one thing could make such a difference to my mood. I'm elated, relieved, relaxed and optimistic all in one (not so little) bundle!
On that topic, the doctor said that while my blood tests were fine, my BP is still a bit too high. Nothing to worry about for a few years yet, but he suggested that a few simple lifestyle changes could stop it ever becoming a worry.
Somewhat embarrassed to say that he ran my details through his computer and I'm medically obeseOnly just, but so shameful! It's weird - I have pretty big thighs and a (small) belly, but to be told that you're the 'o' word is just awful. Luckily I pre-empted this statement by buying some new running shoes before going to the surgery today (and a huge box of sultana bran). Low fat breakfasts and jogging will need to be the new order of the day at Edinburgher towers.
I'm no longer living to pay off my debts, I'm living for life, love and all the good things
Enough rambling - night all.0 -

DCA = debt collection agency! No, that doesn't include my student loan. If you read MSE Martin's guide to loans, there's very little point in paying them back faster than required. Inflation reduces the real cost of them, they don't count as debt on mortgage applications etc. and to be honest, I begrudge paying them back at allNowt wrong being obese lol
Thanks Doodle, I'll believe that when I'm slimManaged to walk/jog nearly 5km this morning and wasn't too tired. According to my calculator that's close to 500 calories, so hopefully manage to get down to the merely overweight soon!

I knew there was a reason we get on so well, Ed: great minds think alike!
And I realised the answer to my question this morning, not long after waking up. I think my mind must have worked out the answer in my sleep! Please call me 'Pickle'
