It was very disappointing - the last time we went to one which was about 10 weeks ago (same hall but different charity) there were bargains galore and I got loads of stuff for DD who is now in adult sizes. This time it looked like the left overs from last time so I brought 3 fabric shopping bags for 60p and 3 cup cakes.
I won't be going there again - we might try a different hall next time or failing that go back to car boots.
  • Done my PAD's for yesterday and today - £10.28 + £10.29.

Not much else going on apart from I could kill DH :mad::mad::mad:. he thinks he knows about computers and he doesn't :rotfl:
He has royally !!!!ed my desktop computer up and lost loads of my files which I need.
He just can't stop fiddling, a few months ago he installed a different Outlook programme and lost all my emails I needed.
I swear I might kill him - failing that I will just buy my own laptop and not let him near it!!!
  • Morning EE, sorry to hear your having problems with your brother, hope it gets sorted soon.

Oh dear to hubby messing with computer, why do men always think they can fix things.

    Take care.x.
  • Another PAD of £10.30 paid today.

I am 'counter-upper' for the PAD thread for October so need to end up with a good total at the end of the month.

  • Crikey, life really gets in the way of MSE sometimes:rotfl:

Have been keeping up with my PADs, since I last came on I have PADed £10.01, £10.02, £10.03 and £10.04 for today.

Things have got expensive in the Elephant household:eek:
Last Friday when I went to sort our animals out (up on the field) I noticed a tiny kitten under the chicken hut, it let me pick it up but then I put it back as not sure what we would do with it. (We do have feral cats on our field and we assume this kitten belongs to her, she has had kittens in the past but would not usually bring them out until they are quite big).

On Saturday DH went up the field and he decided that mum had probably abandoned her, no sign of her and even when the kittens are large mum stays really close so he brought her home
She is about 4 weeks old and is tiny. We went to the vets for kitten milk and she has been doing great.
Then on Tuesday night she suddenly went all floppy, her breathing was shallow and she was in loads of pain - we rushed her to vets but as this was at 11pm we had to pay an increased consultation fee:eek:
The vet wasn't sure what was wrong but did advise the difficulty is that she is so small they can't do blood tests as the amount of blood needed for all the tests is about the same as what she has in her whole body. They did a glucose test but this was high rather than low.
The vet indicated it was better to put her to sleep but DH couldn't bear it so asked that they treat her as best they could.
In the morning we got a call to say she was up and about and the vet thought it was a miracle - they still didn't know what was wrong with her but she was now better.
So they kept her in for the morning and then I got a call to say we could collect her and monitor her at home.
So we have her back at home and she has cost us £270:eek::eek::eek:

I said to DH she better lives for ages as in the first few days of having her she has cost that much - how much will she cost over a lifetime?!?!

Luckily we had just been paid, DH and I will go halves although he doesn't know that yet:rotfl:
  • Poor little kitty, have to say I would have done the same and said sod the cost.

Fingers crossed she is ok and lives a long and happy life with you.

    Take care.x.

  • Week 1 £80.01/£75.01 +£5.00
    Week 2 £64.28/£75.01 -£10.73
    Week 3 £56.63/£75.01 -£18.38

    .

    Week 4 £8.26/£75.01 -£66.75
    Week 5 £12.82/£75.01 -£62.19
    Week 6 £81.02/£75.01 +£6.01

Oops I am £147.03 behind on target.

Need to do some money transfers still from DH to my account so this should give some much needed extra money to PAD.

I have until 11th October before the statement is printed so need to PAD as much as possible by then.
