Oh dear:eek: - I quickly checked your diary but you haven't mentioned but I am dying to find out what he/she has done with a fence??

I think I actually like the courgette in layers but I will bear in mind that the pasta sheets are ok

He misjudged the leap and ended up dangling by his back legs :( he has had a painkiller injection and has 5 days of drops which are anti-inflamitories and has to go back on Tuesday. He is rather sorry looking and very wobbly! all in all cost me £45 after cashing in our free consultation that attached to his pet plan. He was clipped by a bus about 5 years ago when he was only 2 years old, he escaped just battered but the xrasy we had done last year show he has arthritis coming in his back legs so any knock sets him off :(

    :eek::eek::eek::eek:

Poor cat. Hope he is feeling better today.

My 'ill' cat has Legg Perthes as well so only has 1 hip joint as the other one had to be removed. It is very rare in cats and we know the other hip will go the same way so eventually there will be another operation that will cost 700+ (forgive the lack of pound sign, I appear to have mislaid it:rotfl:)
The problem is that he forgets he can't jump far and often he will miaow loudly and when we go to look he has got on the shed roof which of course he cannot get down from.
  • Didn't get on last night so have made a PAD of 1.12 for yesterday and my YouGov money appeared yesterday (must have come in the daytime because when I checked yesterday morning it was not there) so I have done a PAD of 50.00 for today.

The DD has not been taken so I have paid the minimum payment but won't count this as a PAD.

I seem to be getting more YouGov surveys in the morning when I get up - I am trying to do them as soon as I get them. I am back up to 285 since I cashed out about a month ago.

Cat has been to the vet today for a blood test - his numbers are still on the high side of normal so they think he will be left with residual damage to his kidneys:eek: so we have 3mths of medication and have to keep to a renal diet and he can be tested again in 3 mths.
This blinking cat costs me a fortune!!
Even our old cat has got in on the act - if 'ill' cat is not fed by 7am and by 6pm she miaows loudly to let me know it is feed time and of course she gets some as well. The thing is since she has been eating it she has really perked up - she used to sleep a lot and saunter quietly, now she is really vocal and has bags of energy. As she is 18 I expect she has kidney disease due to her age so this diet will help her as well.

Cost for today was 136  which was blood test, medication and 12 pouches of food - need to try to source a cheaper supplier.
  • Hi EE

Just read through your latest goings - good that your cat is recovering well - sounded like he had a lovely time at his 5 star hotel with the gourmet food and spa treatment (glamorous shaved legs!)!!

Sorry to hear you were let down on the goats' new home. Hope they didn't get their revenge by biting you again! Love to them anyway.

Re your budgeting - have you tried You Need A Budget software? I think it's excellent (as do quite a few people on MSE from their posts). I know your OH's debts are separate, but it would probably help you to keep order with your own payments.

Your OH sounds like he is settled with his job - I'm really pleased for him after his problems of the last few years.

Anyway just thought I'd drop in - hope you are having a lovely time modelling your new glasses! (I always buy at least two pairs as well as I generally end up sitting on one!).:o

  • With all the excitement of the cat having a stay at the Vets last week I forgot to update.

    So

    Week 1 £80.01/£75.01 +£5.00
    Week 2 £64.28/£75.01 -£10.73
    Week 3 £56.63/£75.01 -£18.38

Thank goodness for that YouGov payout!! I have also done my PAD for today of £1.14.
So at the moment I am £24.11 behind target - once I am paid at the end of the month I should be able to catch up and keep on target.

    Hi seasidegal

    Hope you are well.

The goats are ok, now that DH does not hand feed them they don't expect me to so at the moment they haven't bitten or headbutted me for at least 4 weeks!!

I have heard loads of people talk about YNAB - it sounds brilliant but I just can't seem to keep up with things in the computer. I used to have my own budget spreadsheet that I devised and it went well for a while and then I stopped filling it in.
Then MG created one and I used hers for a while but the issue was that I have 4 accounts with income coming in and her spreadsheet did not allow for that.

Now I have a lovely pink butterfly notebook and I am trying things manually. I love it because it means I can update while I am at work and at the moment I am keeping up to date.

I have separate pages for my income and bills, DH's income and bills, the household account and the kids income and outgoings.

Yes DH is really settled in his job, he loves it - still lots to sort out so he is happy. We will wait and see what happens when he starts getting bored:rotfl:

Glad you like to have 2 pairs of glasses as well - I have worn 3 of the 4 pairs - the ones I haven't worn yet are a white pair, I haven't worn anything light coloured yet which is why!!!
  • Morning EE

YNAB has a clever little app for your smartphone so that you can record spends there and then if you are out and about and it automatically updates the main software. Still lots of people prefer paper recording and the main thing is to use the method that works for YOU!

You're whizzing through those surveys! Well done for finding the time what with everything else you have to do!

One slight issue is that I am quite old fashioned and I don't have a smart phone:eek::eek::eek:

I keep pondering it and each time I think I will do it I get scared and just keep to my basic Nokia:rotfl:
  • Been missing on here for a few days - have still been making my PAD's (£1.15 yesterday and £1.16 today).

    Not much else going on.

I had 2 days where my S credit card was under £700 and then they did the statement and interest went on:mad:. I hope to have it under £600(probably closer to £500) when the next statement is printed.
