Lets start with good news....
The meal out for my parents anniversary went really well, lovely to have us all together and the food was very good and all brought out together which considering the amount of us was pretty good. We had pre-ordered but even so.
The not so good news...
Our dog had her biopsy on Monday (another £200+) and last night we found out that it is cancer.
Referral to cancer specialist next week and we go from there but we know any treatment will be in the 000's. Its quite an unusual cancer and long term prognosis is not good so we know that we will lose her eventually to this but in the mean time we carry on as we are giving her the best life we can (although at the moment she is on a no walks instruction and she is not amused)
Thank you everyone for posting and sending good wishes0 -

So very sorry to hear your sad news about your dog EE.
I have lost 2 of my dogs to cancer and although they weren't 'young' it's a heartbreaking decision that has to be made.
Even with insurance I think the needs of the dog have to come first, and it's quality of life, rather than quantity of life that counts. I hope she's comfortable and that you get proper advice from the specialist on reaching the best decision for her. (((hugs))) XXI Believe.....

Aww EE, that's hard to deal with.
Big hugs to you.
At least you can spend time with her & make sure however long she has left is as comfortable as it can be and that's a gift in its own way.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.
