    Money update

    PAD = £111
    Entertainment = £29
    Groceries = £167.66
    Christmas = £16.01

    T0luna points = 61,910 - less than 20,000 to go to payout a voucher :D Given that my first purchase of March was Glee songs on download, I think I should go for an Amazon voucher :rotfl:

    I received £11.24 in Quidco this morning, so that's been PADded as well. Mothers Day flowers have been bought and paid for, less than £30 and my brother is paying me half. My share will come from my PAD money. I'm also going to work it out less the Quidco I will receive. Sodding Mother's Day. I may well make her card though - personal and cheap :A

    There are 20 days until payday, possibly the day we get a bonus too although nobody is confirming anything. B*ggers that they are - don't they know that some of their staff are budgeteers?!

    Toluna is a survey website, you can get points through the surveys they email you, littler ones on their website (the 15-150 pointers do add up) and through giving 80 point opinions on topics on the website. If you ping me your email addy by PM I'll refer you as I get 500 points for each advanced referral - offer open to any other lurkers! You redeem the points for High St or Amazon vouchers.

    Hi F_F,

    Two questions, where is this fabulous spreadsheet you use, mines is a bit blah, could do with a new one. And True Blood, is it any good? I have series one on my V+ but as I am down to 16 hours, thinking of deleting it, should I??

    Also, you have made my day when I realised you are taking savings off your loan, I've been saving up to pay mines off too so if I adopt your way instead of owing £6,999, my debt is only £5,599, yeehah!

    I have the spreadsheet in OpenOffice and Excel so could email you it if you want. I got it from cw18 on the Frugal Challenge but I could email you either version if you want.

    I like True Blood, but it's quite smutty! I was quite surprised!

    Hi F_F,

    I have just PM'd you. I'd love the butter codes :D huge help to me! Also I will have the vouchers winging their way to you tomorrow - I think expiry is june so a bit of time to use them still.

    I wanted to say thank you to you too as I'm not sure if I've said how motivational your diary is and has inspired me to sit down and sort things out - I could only do this when I got a job but its easily something I might not have focussed upon once I had f/t work.

    Morning all!

    DedicatedDFW, I've sent you through the Anchor codes by email as well as the Spreadsheet of Wonder!

    I think that I've now sent on the spreadsheet to everyone who PM'd me, but if I have missed you out let me know. I have loads to update on mine, but haven't had the urge. Thankfully everything I spend goes in the Frugal Tome, so I can't forget things :D

    Current state of play is:

    PAD = £107.55
    Entertainment = £20.45 (Night out with friends last night cost £8.55 for carvery and one cola :D)
    Groceries = £167.65

    I don't know how much is in my purse, but I suspect about £3 at the most :rotfl: There are 19 days until payday.

    Other news

    Two weeks after the end of Project Spare Room there was a card from TNT through the door last night, a quick search of MSE revealed that I've won a decorating kit in a competition :rotfl: I think I'll give it to my dad, he likes that sort of thing!

    We've been offered a car for £30. It's an M-reg Fiesta (1995) and would cost about £200 to insure for the year and £190 for tax, but if looked after it would mean freedom from public transport for a while. I'm really tempted but don't want to blow my budget for a "want" not a need.

    Pros & Cons

    Pro - Limited need for bus pass, saving £42 per month
    Pro - can go to the supermarket without begging people for lifts if I need heavy things
    Pro - we can get out of the city at the weekend
    Pro - trips Up North to see family don't need ages off work (I need a day either side for travel) as it's only 4 hours drive but a pain in the bum on public transport
    Pro - Cheap to insure
    Pro - No need to hire a car for weekends away

    Con - don't know how reliable it will be (Although it will be checked by Mr F's mechanic stepdad before we get it)
    Con - £190 to tax for 1 year (!!!!) due to it's age
    Con - Old car so may fall apart (Why we got rid of last one)

    What do you think people? Myself and Mr Fresian are slightly blinded by our wanting a car so much. What haven't I thought of?

    Need to get ready for work now, have a good day all!
