    Hi Ms Fresian

I'm sorry work is pants :( I am, obviously, somewhat distant from you so unlikely to come across any job opportunities but I'll keep my paws crossed that something come good for you :)

In the meantime, may I say that this:
II should be doing things apart from faffing around on the interpipes....

    Quick update:

    Work still poo.

CV up to date, plan to apply for at least one job for the end of the week.

14th & 15th taken as holiday to enable said jobhunt.

Took me A BLOODY HOUR to get home when it should take 15 minutes. People in the Lowlands can't handle the snow.

Bought new work shoes in the M&S sale - £7 reduced from £39.50 and paid for with a gift card, meaning FREE SHOES :j:j:j

Off to help a friend clean her flat so she gets her deposit back. Hope all are well.

Sorry to hear work is pants at the moment - hopefully the job hunting will reap rewards soon. Have you thought about signing up with an agency - I've heard they can sometimes point you in the direction of reasonable jobs (but I don't know how true that is).
People in the Lowlands can't handle the snow.

However unPC this is it is so true - I got stuck behind someone driving at 30 today for a good few miles on a road that was a 50, a 60 & eventually got passed them on the dual carriageway - but the roads were clear, there was no snow blowing through - in fact, I've driven in rain & the conditions were worse.

Enjoy the cleaning - & you can come do my place when you've finished :D

    Boo hiss FF. Rotten job.

I've got some career changing books you may like to borrow. Parachutes and Bear Chase and probably others.

Also look at joining linkedin www.linkedin.com and uploading your cv. You can add me and others on here are on there too.

What sort of work are you looking for and we can suggest some job sites. I can recommend some agencies for project type roles.

bit late, but happy new diary F_F!

sorry to hear that work hasn't suddenly changed to your perfect job - finding a new one when you don't know what you want to do is simply another challenge for you to overcome - we all know you can do it

I'd use one tea bag for 2 cups except Mr Lurker drinks coffee! when mum comes over though the teapot comes out & we go all traditional!!

mm think its time for a cuppa......

    Morning all!

    Money

Spends £80 (Untouched for days now!)
    PAD £50
    Groceries £93.24
Entertainment £50.51 (Still to pay for Sound of Music)
Purse £23 cash, £10 book tokens, £5 off No7 voucher (Trying to resist using this one!!)

    Everything else

Crazy snow here is going to make getting to work hard but sadly not impossible :D Suspect that many people won't make it in so hoping and praying for office closure (never gonna happen!!!)

£20 Quidco arrived today which is good so I made a PAD of over £30 today and also paid off all my post-Christmas credit card spending rather than waiting for the statement. I don't want to be tempted to dip into my money! I've also updated my signature with the figures for my budgeting challenge. I now have about £1150 in my savings account which is excellent given that Christmas has been and gone, I barely had to touch it :A

Today I plan to go to the cinema after work with Taka assuming that the weather isn't too awful. I need to do the following today:

    1. Take food with me to have before the cinema in lieu of dinner
    2. Charge my phone at work
    3. More washing (The bottom of the washing basket is in sight!)

Not a lot else to report apart from that it's hump day :D
