Hi everyone;have been watching this thread from time to time for aaaaages an getting some really good ideas. Would like to come on properly now please..husband was made redundant at the exact same time I am having to take early medical retirement..with dd age 20 still at home and dd2 still at school we were flung into crisis. DH always takes things to the line..made redundant Friday GOT A NEW JOB started Monday!!! So now have to make some major cutbacks to accomodate. Really like some of the budget sheets on here as I'm using a book atm. Could someone recommend one pls. Thanks0

Welcome to Phoebecat - please read post 1 where you'll find links to most things, including spreadsheets.
Lovely day here again, washing's out on the line and just need to catch up with some work before going 'out to play'
Spending has been suspended for now, to let me finish topping up my 2009/10 ISA but I'm hoping to do this with cashback. My £70.70 C0-0p insurance has finally shifted from 'pending' to 'confirmed', so it should be transferable within a month. No Premium Bonds wins so fat this year and only one more draw before I need to cash most of them in for DS's 21st birthday. Still, they earned me more than the cash would have earned sitting in a bank over the past year or so, that's for sure.
Make the most of the dry weather if you're fortunate enough to have it, and keep on frugaling.I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.
