Have another migraine - went to docs this time as getting silly. The medication has made me feel drunk and drowsy so no work this afternoon or yesterday so lost money
Otherwise all well this end
That's excellent about the Tesco for school vouchers yay! :T
Sorry about the migraine thoughThey are so debilitating. Hope you are feeling better soon.

Hi all - congratulations, commiserations, hugs etc. where due (sorry, can't remember all names)
Isn't it lovely to see the light nights returning - today has been beautiful - sunny but still cold, was icy first thing. Has 2 more NSD's Sunday/Monday. Small spend today, £4.57, but saved £4.32 so pleased with that, walked both ways, and called in library.
Been recycling today - old trainers to shoe bank, battery at Mr T's, 4 pks free seeds & hyacinth bulb to Stan (our pensioner downstairs who has a very small patch of garden).
Blitzed hotspot in kitchen this morning - just a unit where everything gets dumped on - can't blame anyone else coz just me hereI got s p a c e - it's great !:rotfl:
Have been catching up on Frugaldom's blog - it's brilliant, love all the pics - you live in beautiful place. Not sure I could cope with all the snow/high winds tho !
Will try £1 shop for windowsill gardening bargains - wish I still had my garden - do miss being outside all summer. Can't even have window boxes here - not allowed by HA
HA phoned re compensation claim - 1st offer was £60. Turned that down, as wouldn't even cover cost of phone calls, time off work last year and loss of heat when window was out.
2nd offer was £100 - not sure what to do. :undecided Any advice gratefully received.
Might check with C A B, see what they think.
Enjoy your evening all - CSI Vegas tonight. When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on

Hiya all,
Not posted for a while but been trying to keep up. Hope everyone ok x
Just updated my spreadsheet and total spend for Feb was £530.24!!!! Don't know how I managed that! It's less than a third of what I spent in Jan! Grocery was only £166.15, so looks like having built up my store cupboard paid off.
Good to see the sun today, hopefully can get into the garden this weekend and make a start on organising it for square foot gardening I'm gonna try this year.

Evening everyone,
Hugs, congrats etc to everyone.
haven't posted in a while but since having a few 'extra' spends in February, I've decided to try not to spend outside of my categories for March. It's going well so far0 -
hubby has just complained that I'm too [STRIKE]tight[/STRIKE] frugal after I told him he could only have 2 MrS basic digestive biscuits with his cuppa, seems reasonable to me dear
, after all they're 1p each

Lovely sunny day here again today , so have washed a couple of the fleece throws that have been siiting on the sofas for really chilly nights; they haven't been used the last few days so thought it would be a good time to get them freshened up.My self & hubby; 2 sons (30 & 26). Hubby also a found daughter (37).
Eldest son has his own house with partner & her 2 children (11 & 10)
Youngest son & fiancé now have own house.
So we’re empty nesters.
Daughter married with 3 boys (12, 9 & 5).
My mother always served up leftovers we never knew what the original meal was. - Tracey Ulman0 -
Morning all. All folk not working and having no kids have simply GOT to get out in this sunshine and gorgeous spring crisp air...it's so good and cheap for the soul and body. I don't care if you walk for 30secs or 3 hours...Just go prepared and enjoy it!!! That's my MS tip for today.
Hmmm...Done menu plan...£7 I think food budget this week. Sounds good. Fell out (finally at least for a few days) with M round the corner who doesn't menu plan, has more debt than me, same income and is talking of getting a flat screen tv? (I don't get tv's anymore after not having one since July). He basically has his head buried in the sand and like I'll be there for him when he wants tips to get sorted but I can't be bothered with him till he is. Sad but true. I can't make him. He's frustrating me.
Then a pal who's in the unit came over @ 6 (and remember I was sick) and like left and came back @ 8 and it took me half an hour to get rid of him. Say no more...= stress and nightmares.
So today I've been out for a wee walk and put my application for K in to the council (I have to ask permission to run a business from home for them. it's just part time and a start and I can work what hours I want. I wouldn't do it but I'm already a control freak with the budget so sure I can everything noted down for the benefits agency) and soon it'll be lunch and then a wee walk for my 4 weekly injection (pain in the bum literally. Not least after losing 5 stone. Dread to think how risperdal with the extra long needle would be these days. Actually that's too scary to think about!!!) and then figure when and where I'm going grocery shopping and do the crisis plan for friday and review my W.R.A.P which I'll have to do. No word on tomorrow's freecycle so I guess I'm not going. And nothing is selling on Gumtree...so might put on other ads on Friday... Still need to put phone on ebid...(might put on ebay don't know. I was only going to start @ 99p)
But thanks so much about the basil tips. Want it for pasta sauce. (thinking cheap tomato soup and basil). What do I need soil wise and pot wise (only have room for a pot on my kitchen sill) for my kitchen south facing sill. Don't have a garden but this is the plan for my sills for the summer. I've also grown cabbage (and let it flower. It confused me) and tomatoes (they came crashing out the window mid pizza making cos I didn't have canes LOL) on the sills before now. I KNOW what's possible in my wee pad.
Next year pots in bins methinks...the year after who knows..
