Hi to all
fishcake_random glad the move went OK, you will now have a bit more space around you.
I have a question about LETS if anyone can answer it.
I submitted the form online a while ago and have had no contact - should I try and find a phone number, or is it just that the group is not very active? Anyone any experience of this.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Ouch! Just been and booked in at the hairdressers for next Tuesday morning..... Not as expensive as I thought it could be, but still close to 2 months budget for my 'anything else' category
Still, it's almost 18 months since I last had it done - so I guess it's not as if I'm having to find the money on a regular basisCheryl0 -

Have a huuuuge dilema
Been debating having my hair coloured, but it's going to put one heck of a dint in my 'other' budget  So I'd just about talked myself out of it.
But I've just had my payslip for the last 4 weeks, and I've got one heck of a lot extra - 96 contracted hours has become 140.75hrs, including 17.5 at 1.5x (Sunday rate - for two Sundays which isn't a normal day for me - and for going over 39 hours in a week) - so I can afford it, even if it ends up being the one item that pushes me over budget at year end........
Last had it done back in Sep/Oct 2008 (from my last full pay cheque from my last job), when I had two coppery/bronze colours put in as mixed streaks - but it wasn't toooooo expensive as I only had the top layer of hair done, and had it done as a 'model' for a trainee. But I can't get the cheap rate just now, and need it doing right through (if poss) due to having to pull my hair up completely for work (otherwise it'll look odd).
However, I do know it gave my confidence a boost last time - and I have my date-that's-not-a-date coming up at incredible speed which I'm very nervous about (even though we get on incredibly well by email, phone and text) !!!!
For what I want I may have already left it too late to get an appt anyway - but I'm off work all of next week (so not tied to evenings/weekends like most workers are) which just may give me a small chance of getting an appt if I contact them tomorrow.
Guess I need to decide one way or another by 9am tomorrow whether to splurge or not
why not try your local college? ours is only 15.00 for any amount of colours x2015.......I aim to have a tidy de cluttered house by Xmas

Hello, just caught up again after 24 hours on chickwatch. All 3 of the eggs in the incubator hatched!
Incubator now sterilised and ready for some C0stc0 quail eggs going in to see if they really are fertile.
Planned on having a go at making the yoghurt and cream cheese this weekend, except I thought this was Saturday and I started it off first thing this morning! :rotfl: A 1.30am finish with a 6am start was a bit much for me, my brain's addled. Anyway, I warmed a litre of UHT skimmed milk, stirred in 2 tablespoons of natural yoghurt and 2 tablespoons of milk powder then poured the mix into an ordinary 1L thermos flask. (I preheated the inside of it with boiling water before using it.) I've kept 2 tablespoons of the natural yoghurt in a little tub in the freezer, just in case, and the remainder of the carton is being strained through the sieve & jelly bag to make my first ever batch of soft cheese, as per SM's instructions. I'll let you know how this turns out.
Hope everyone's doing OK, last weekend of the month and Monday's the first of a brand new month. It won't be long before we're into part 2 thread! :jI reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

One major advantage of being poorly sick is the food bill is zero.
Unfortunately, the heating bill is through the roof but even I ...die-hard moneysaver that I am...know that I need warmth to get better.
And I am using no petrol.
If I try really hard, I can almost convince myself I am not spending a fortune doing nothing.0 -
Hello everyone.
I've been a bit preoccupied for a while because my DH and I got married yesterday :j
It was all very frugally done too since it cost us the grand total of £255.88, so another reason to celebrate :rotfl:
Right I need to refocus on my frugality!Karma - the consequences of ones acts."It's OK to falter otherwise how will you know what success feels like?"1 debt v 100 days £20000 -
