Friday – Butternut & Bacon Risotto
Have a good week all x0 -
have done an Asda shop and planned the next month. then l,ooked in the fridge and realised the pre-pack sliced roast beef they delivered last night is out of date today.
So apart from sandwiches and salad anyone any ideas what i can use it up in??loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
Hello everyone!
First ever post here, despite lurking for a long time.
This week we will still be using up leftover's. I am ashamed to say that in the past these would have been binned, Now however, I need to really budget for food and stick to it.
Sunday:
Savoury mince, frozen yorkies, carrots (left for reindeer and recycled!) and new pots (leftover from New Years day buffet)
Monday:
Homemade pasta sauce (made with leftover swede/carrots and roast onions from Xmas dinner) and meatballs, served with taglitelle
Tuesday:
Leftover turkey (sliced and frozen) curry, made with a 6p Tesco value sauce and rice
Wednesday:
Pasta carbonara (leftover gammon, sliced and frozen)
Thursday:
Lasagne
Friday:
Chicken thighs, oven chips and baked beans
Saturday:
Home made pizzas
Sunday:
Roast Pork and all the trimmings
None of the meals need me to buy anything. My target is not to but any food until this time next week.0 -
Ohhh - can I join - it might give me the incentive to stick to it
Sun - sausage casserole (in slow cooker now) with mash and yorkshire puds
Mon - filled pasta (this isnt made from scratch - is this cheating?) tossed in red pesto with garlic bread and sour cream
Tues - chicken casserole with dumplings
Wed - lamb steaks with sauted new potatos and broccoli
Thurs - chinese style chicken curry with fried rice
Fri - chicken & chorizzo pasta bake
Sat - beef stir fry with noodles
Im great at making these lists and rubbish at sticking to them
