Consumer Electronics or a show of a more "adult" nature? ;););)

    ;) Lol SHOT Show.

We didn't change in the end. Forgot to add tax on to the rate so it wasn't as good value. Still good but not as good.

    Thanks for the help!

I can beat that. :) The accommodation at least. Through www.harrahs.com/vegasvacation the PH is $380 + tax or £137pp. A strip view is a lot more, but we have never failed to get a strip view at PH by asking nicely at check in. Well worth the $20 tip, or maybe more if you are there for a week.

Just booked PH through Expedia for 27th Feb 'til 3rd March.

Total for the room was just under £150 after using the voucher code 'gift2011' which took of 10%, and another 10% cashback via Quidco (which has already been validated:)).

It's only the standard 'Hollywood Hip' room, not to fussed about paying the extra for the 'view' rooms, but might ask nicely at check-in.;)

Did have a 'Go Room' booked at the Flamingo, but just cancelled that, and the Expedia booking is also cancelable up until 72hrs before, so I will keep checking.

I'm trying to find the best possible deal for a Las Vegas trip. We are looking to go approx 26th May for 7 nights. My booking would be for 2 adults & 2 children (though as my son is 12, he is classed as an adult for the flight).

Generally it usually works out cheaper to book flights seperately to accommodation but on this occasion that doesnt seem to be the case.
We would prefer a direct flight, but that narrows our options down considerably. It is actually working out cheaper to book a package deal than just the flight alone.

Ive had a price of £3178 quoted for the MGM Grand inc direct flights for 7 nights for the 4 of us.
If we dont have a direct flight i had a price of approx £2600 for the Luxor.

We dont mind staying in either of these hotels. If i try and book just the flight with British Airways its coming out at more than the package price!!

I am trying to keep the cost down as much as possible, but want to stay in a reasonably nice hotel on the strip.

Do the prices above seem any good to you experts?! This is my first time to Las Vegas so i'll need all the help that you can offer!

That sounds pretty good, we will be there at the same time :)
I found it cheaper to book as a package with Ebookers for us as the flight from Newcastle was just over £500pp and the hotel around £400 doing it seperately (we are going from 24th Feb - 3rd March - the weekend nights bump the hotel price up quite a bit), the package came in at just over £1300 with £80 quidco already tracked so effectively £1220...I am over the moon with this as was told I wouldn't get it for around £600pp which was what I was aiming for :D

Think we'll be 'asking nicely' about the fountain view rooms at check in too ;)

Just to check - you're aware of the restrictions in place regarding kids and Vegas? Several here have great trips with their kids - but they know what they won't be able to do so aren't disappointed. 30th May is a bank holiday in the US, so that may or may not impact hotel rates. The price you quoted seems quite expensive to me...but I haven't checked flight prices that time period and I know bank holidays in the UK will bump prices up too.

Happy new year to all you MSE Vegas nuts...thanks for all the help and advice you've given me and everyone else this year - I'm quite certain that our Vegas trips would be very different if it weren't for the eagle-eyed, helpful folks around these parts! :)
