    we fly out on wednesday.

i can check in online 24 hrs before for the BA flight - there are 2 couple goin - any recommendations on what seats ppl think are better? from what i remember is is 3-3-3 so one of us might take an aisle seat or else sit over 2 rows

for online check in will i need passport info? its just i dont have the other couples passports so will need to ring in advance to get them :)

finally, i have a iphone - is it true that it can be plugged in on the BA flight to save the battery? i do fear this is merely a rumour lol!!
I've flown BA to Vegas, seat 3-3-3 is annoying! Are you flying direct from London or do you hve a leg before that?

If you have a flight before the LHR-LAS this is in your favour as you will be able to check in prior to alot of people! As their check-in will open 24hrs before the LHR-LAS flight and yours will open 24hours prior to your ??-LHR flight...

I had this and was able to get exit seats for FREE!

Regarding the battery for iphone, I could not see anywhere to charge, apart from on the way back there was a 30min charger for $3-5 (I think) in the Vegas airport!

Go to the BA site http://www.britishairways.com/travel/home/public/en_gb - to the right hand side enter your booking ref and surname, this will take you to your itinery and will advise what time check in opens for you.

I flew BA to London last year and I booked through Ebooker and I was able to check in online.

Anyone ever hired a car from DreamcarRentals which is on the Strip ??
I really fancy hiring the Corvette for 1 day, i know $199 is a lot, but kinda worth it! There website states you need you own insurance? guess there not like Dollar then and offer you LDW, etc ?! where do you get that kind of insurance from ?

Bit more advice needed on the HOTELS side of things:

Have read on peoples reviews on hotels that when you check in (say you prepaid already in Full to a UK tour agent), they swipe your credit card/debit for incidentals (fair enough, most hotels sometimes do this)...
But i been reading that some hotels take $100 per night from your card as a 'security deposit against incidentals' ??? So given i have 7 nights in the Excalibur for instance, do you reckon all hotels do a similar thing ??

Have not hired from them, but have driven a corvette round a test track they had behind the Sahara one year, fantastic.
I think you can buy insurance online before you go but wether it would cover a Corvette ,I dont know.

Most if not all hotels will put a hold of $100 ish maybe more per night, but it is only on hold they dont take it so as long as it doesnt affect your limit there isnt a problem

After reading dreamcar rentals webpage, I hope you dont scratch it!!!!!

If both flights are with BA on a through ticket then you will be able to check in 24 hour before your first flight, ie Dublin to LHR.

Try to get near the front of the cabin as it will give you a head start on the Immigration queue.

Check https://www.seatguru.com to see the seat layout.

Yes most hotels put a hold on your credit card regardless of whether you have booked through a third party. However you can put down a cash deposit if you prefer which you will get back when you check out.

Alternatively you can ask them to remove the ability to charge to your room and some hotels will not put a hold on the card.

The hold should only affect you if you have a very low credit limit and intend maxing out the card while you are there.

We use the credit card to pay for everything bar gambling and tips and I have never even noticed the hold although I know it happens.
