P.S - The travelodges seem to very cheap but a look on trip advisors tells me why. Although, the ambasador looks better than the south strip Travelodge.
Please don't go to Vegas and stay in a Travelodge.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

January , FebruaryDear secretmachines and all
Thank you for your suggestion.
Just another quick question that come to my mind. Is it safe or recommendable to carry US$1000 cash in your wallet/pocket ?
I will try to minimise the cash withdrawal fee.

i was pleasantly surprised with the low costs for withdrawing cash and using my card over there (just a regular Barclays debit).
if you need to visit a cashpoint, take out $200-300 at once rather than getting $50/100 here and there :T0 -

MarchVegas is one of those places I find travellers cheques still work as most casinos don't charge for cashing them and I shall be sorry when they are finally phased out.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

PH sounds good for a stag party!!!
Incidentally what are your quotes coming in at and who with?? How are you thinking of booking it?? DIY or with a provider??
I would say Planet Hollywood also, it is a great hotel, very hip and aimed towards a younger crowd (21-40). The rooms are also very nice and in a great location!0 -

John,
You should try booking your flight + hotel seperate, usually comes in alot cheaper, try www.smartervegas.com for your hotel discount...as you are booking direct with the hotel this way and if anyone pulls out usually the hotel is fully refundable, this is always stated.
Where are you flying from and what month do you go?0 -

I totally agree. I get a bit fed up when I read that traveller's cheques are a) old fashioned, b) no-one uses them c) no-one in the US accepts them anymore.
I use ATM's in Europe, but TC's and ATM's in Vegas as they are so easy to use. I tried the pre-paid card, but didn't get on with it as I couldn't keep track of how much was left on the card.0
