January , FebruaryHi everyone
Sorry I've not logged in for ages and PMs don't come to my email inbox. Happened to be browsing and noticed this thread. I still do have the phones and would love to pass them on. Apologies for not coming on sooner. Do they go back to Triker?

thats up to Triker . she is the original owner , but other MSE Members may be heading out first , and she may be okay with them having them first .
djc2006 had PM'd me asking me for them and i know Ferf had a trip planned and could make use .
can dcj2006 , Ferf and Triker post their dates and then we can know who can have them first , and who that person should then post them to when they get back .Anyone else who may want them post here now with your dates .
i assume these phones can easily be topped up with credit , so that who ever uses them can add some credit for the next person ect . :ABetter in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -
October , NovemberSo, I've just booked our marriage ceremony for 6th Oct 10am!
But here are my thoughts?
We're getting a 'complimentary' limo from our hotel, to the marriage bureau then on to the chapel and a limo back to our hotel afterwards. How do I decide how much to tip the driver?! We're not going to be tight as it's our wedding day but we cant afford to over-tip as we're on a budget
The minister has an envelope with a suggested tip
We presume we're required to tip the photographer also, but again unsure how much
any help appreciated0 -

couple of bucks for the Photo guy i would say . $5 max for the Limo driver .
don't sweat about under tipping too much . waiters and stuff have to earn their tips by good service ect . if they do i generally tip 15% of reasonable meal check .if it was a expensive meal then i will tip lighter .
never be afraid to not tip if you have not been treated well .Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -

The US (or certainly the network these phones are on) has a sneaky PAYG scheme where you credit expires after a period of time.
So a $30 topup will expire in maybe 30 days. A $200 topup will expire in maybe 200 days.
If theyre going to be used regularly, and people have their dates planned, it makes sense for a bunch of people to share a large topup, as the smaller topups will probably expire by the time the next person goes.
But it cant be topped up online unless someone has a US credit card.
And will it have been disconnected by the time the next person goes.
And where to you get credits for that network on the strip?
So, all that leads me to say that buy a disposable phone with $20 credit for $30 in Walmart (if you have a car)......unless someone wants to run the group scheme.

MayHi from sunny Vegas! It was 101F when we landed at 6.15pm.
Had a nice meet with Lesley74. It was very noisy in Bill's and hard to hear, but I doubt there's anywhere quiet on a Friday night. Lesely very kindly gave me her ACG and coupons.
Left Lesley at 9.30 as we were fading fast, went for something to eat and back to the hotel. Went to bed after being up for 28 hours, but I just dozed and woke at 10 to midnight so here I am.
Congratulations on the engagement!0
