AprilAnother question - are the coffee/drinks prices in Starbucks (or other chains) the same inside the hotels as they are outside?
A Starbucks/Java Coast run for us for just coffees (well, grande vanilla lattes and the like - actual coffee will be less) typically costs us about $10+ for the pair of us - and that's without any pastries. As such, we always buy a coffee maker at WalMart (they usually have one for $9.96) and bring coffee from home - leaving Starbucks/Java Coast as a bit of a treat...having coffee in the room is a nice way to start the day too we think. I can't recall going to any Starbucks other than those in the hotel/casinos so not sure about pricing...the only one I can think of off the top of my head is at the corner there by Harrah's.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
October , NovemberThey are usually the same price wherever you go, and as ferf says they can get expensive.0

SeptemberSnap Ferf...if there isn't coffee making facilities in the room then we always pack our little travel element...just pop it into a cup of water and it heats up in minutes we take those melamine mugs (£1 in home bargains/poundland we throw them at the end of the stay and buy fresh for the next holiday) our own tea and coffee and buy a pint of milk in wallgreens or the little offie by carnival court stick the milk carton in the ice bucket and it's fine....we asked the maid for an extra ice bucket the last time and she was happy to oblige...we then buy a little pack of cookies or some muffins and just have something like that in the room to start the day....then go for brekkie around 10am:hello: LORRAINE :hello:0

I'm definitely heading for the kitchenette type of place I think...disclaimer I have the right to change my mind constantly over this and many other issues because I'm like a chattering monkey re Vegas subjects
So now the list is candlewood suites, the Platinum and maybe the Signature but I don't want to be up that end of the strip really.
Coffee costs a fortune, we too bought the coffee maker from Walmart.
I really, really wonder where all those coffee makers go, there must be thousands left behind weekly?
I bought pumpkin coffee last year, it was gorgeous.:drool:DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

The Signature kitchen(ette)s vary in quality. The standard junior suite has limited cooking facilities while the one bedroom suites have a much better setup ....with a decent oven!0 -

October , NovemberJaytay - I don't know if it's the same every month as 1st August was the first time I properly looked, but I bought mine at about 8:15am UK time, so midnight (ish) West Coast time. I know they had only just gone on sale then as I'd been sitting on the laptop refreshing the page constantly since I got up at 8am - yes I was that desparate for a Stripburger cert!0
