Delighted to hear it! I was a bit concerned when you said it was "as expected" and thought that you didn't like it.

OH says it's his favourite hotel. He loves that he can be at the pool within 2 minutes of leaving the room.

Yes the pool is small, but there is never a problem getting a lounger.

The microwave is handy if you can't finish a meal and take it to go.

I had a peek at the Carriage House and I really like...:T:T:T:T:T so far strongest contender for when we go...I'm especially liking the kitchen.

    Thanks for the info folks.

Off in April to get married, booked ourselves in the Stratosphere and thanks to Lastminute's 10% off sale we got the next room up for what we wanted to pay! Also got cashback so not a bad night!

Now off to find cheap flights...cheapest so far working out about £420!

No worries Luci, I don't do sarcasm - well at least not on here where folks are so helpful. We walked around MGM and to be honest, I think we would have hated it - so far to get anywhere. And ther option of tea/toast and cereal without leaving the room is great.

We just spent the day hiking up at Mt Charleston (getting value from the hire car again). It was lovely, and so much cooler than in town, low 60s. We walked just over half of the Cathedral rock trail, but it rather wiped me out. Very steep and up above 8,000 feet. So we dropped down and walked the Fletcher Canyon trail. This was
fairly gentle, but still took its toll on a very unfit Boa. It's almost 4 miles round trip and really beautiful. Saw some lovely butterflies, lizards and a few squirrels.

Anyone coming out here with access to a car should really consider a trip up there.

Now - where to go for dinner? Wev'e earnt it today.:rotfl:

Dinner at Bills Gambling Den steakhouse - posh nosh (don't be deceived by the outside). It's pretty expensive, b ut Tix4Tonight do 50% Off for $3/head - although we didn't use this.

So long as you won't miss the buzz of the big casino hotels and like somewhere quiet to retreat - you'll love it. And like I said, literally 5 minutes walk to the strip and 10-15 minutes to Paris via the Miracle
    Mile shops:D

£420 is a good price. Best I've seen recently is over £500.

Who is it with? What dates?

Is there anywhere else, other than Dennys and Casino Royale food court ( we are staying at the Mirage for 5 days on Saturday) for a cheap breakfast / lunch?
Another question - are the coffee/drinks prices in Starbucks (or other chains) the same inside the hotels as they are outside?

Last one - are we likely to get a decent room, we will be checking in after 8pm on Saturday night ( Labour day weekend, trust me not to check before I book!), I would *really* like a strip view - at that time of night will we be left with the dregs?

Venetian has several places in their food court, or there is Grand Luxe (Venetian/Palazzo) or Cheesecake Factory (Forum Shops)
