We had this on our first visit and had to do it again. Just as good as the first time. We had more to drink this time. Food was excellent – lamb, lobster, filet minion. The walk back the Venetian was difficult especially in the heat.

I keep thinking about this one - but it seems so pricey (we have a $20 off coupon on the LVA Member Rewards Book and it still seems pretty expensive as neither one of us are big drinkers and neither like champagne...I've seen that Bellagio does the Fountains brunch on Sunday, still pricey, but have considered it...just have never managed to take the plunge - somehow paying that much for a meal so early in the day is hard to get my head around. :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

A lot depends on the time of day you check in.

I was on the Virgin flight so got to Caesars to check in about 3.30pm (flew through immigration) on a Thursday and there was no line whatsoever.
If you check in on a Friday I'd guess it'd be worse (although I don't recall seeing a line there on the Friday...) . Whether the fact I tipped helped-I don't know-but I do know it was the best $20 I've spent in Vegas . I was comped anyway so the Augustus Tower room basically cost me $10 a night.

Usually if my room isn't ready by 3.30 ish I ask if they have another room available-They usually do(sometimes it gets you a free upgrade too)

Many of the poor reviews will be of the older rooms I would guess, Roman Tower, Centurion Tower...as for waiting for 3 hours, if you arrive before check-in time it's always possible there will be a wait...even sometimes after check-in it's always a possibility - more likely on a Sunday I would imagine when loads of people will be checking out so loads of rooms need to be cleaned to be ready for new arrivals, but possible anytime at any hotel, not just Caesars. Being pre-booked doesn't make a difference if they have no clean room available at the time. We have had to wait before (think it was supposed to be an hour but ended up being nearly 2) but not for years.

Thanks for the information! Big help. What can you do in the mean time? Can you leave your luggage somewere and get a drink or something?

Going to try the upgrade trick also, so may be worth the wait for rooms to be clean ;) We dont arrive in vegas until about 2pm

You can leave your bags at the bell desk, tip $1-2 a bag. You are then free to wander off and do whatever you like.

Once you have your room number, just call down and they will delivery the bags to the room.

I was put off at first by the price, but hubby was persistent, I loved it but if you don't drink you might not get as much out of it. I thought the food and service was excellent and this time we only ate that meal of the day.

Here's some pictures of the food we ate. I took as many photos as I had hot dinners :)

Were off to Caesars next Sep (said it loads on here now, sorry!) have been reading reviews and reports on yelp? or yealp? AHHH. Some people's reviews are really horrible! I really really hope we dont get the service like that. Poor condition rooms and waiting 3 hours to get a room from when they arrive with pre-booked details etc. EEP. Hmm being British I have the habit of not making a fuss, but I know decent service when I see it.

Bit worried now. :o

If you looking for negative reviews of Caesars on Google , your going to find them. as you will with every other hotel in Vegas .

so why focus on them ? what about the masses of people who have a great stay at Caesars , enjoy superb service , like the room they get , and have no wait at check in ? ( count me among them) , and who don't bother to write a review .

no hotel can please 100% of the People 100% of the time, and some Americans moan about tiny things or are just on downer about places cause they lost large amounts of money Gambling ( and subsidising your stay)

take every part of your trip , Departure airport , Airline , Car Hire Company , Hotel , Day trip operator , restaurants ect etc and search for negative things and you will find things that will put you off going fullstop .

Chill out , stop doing negative searches on google , look forward to your holiday and stop worrying :D

( i could charge £50 an hour for such counselling :A)

Totally agree with Trets. There are negative reviews on the best hotels in Vegas.

Just look at the TA rankings, most of the best hotels are way down the rankings and ones you would never stay at are near the top.

However it does seem consistent that the Roman Tower(?) rooms are not great at Caesars. We had a Palace Tower room and had no complaints.
