    American Airlines have a sale.............

    http://www.americanairlines.co.uk/i18n/specialOffers/earlyBird_LON.jsp&locale=en_GB

Cheapest flights for me are £632 and that's with 2 connections! Makes the BA sale with one connection at £660 seem like a bargain!

Exactly £100 per person cheaper than the equivalent BA return flight for us and no need to go anywhere near LHR.

As Stomeman says, fly direct to LAX plus a five hour car journey will save £100x2 in flights and cost maybe £25 for the car, AND get you to Vegas around the same time as an indirect flight. You can also stop at Primm on the way to stock up at the Hollister Outlet.

I would pay an extra £200 NOT to have a 5 hour drive from LAX after that long of a flight. :)

A bit over reaction I think. They are the largest airline in the world and carry millions of passengers a year. I would never give it a second thought booking with them (we are booked to go to Miami in November)

I agree, though I really really hope that this doesn't hit the UK press too hard or my MIL will be a wreck whenever we fly with them going forward.

Anyone know of any cheap places for booze :) happy hours? I read somewhere about $1 margaritas :D

Bear in mind that the $1 margaritas are frozen and not very strong...we like them though, each have a couple every trip usually from Casino Royale...also like the $1 Michelobs from the same place. Not sure if Slots-a-Fun still has the $2 Heinekens and Coronas (or the 1/2 lb hot dog).

The $1 Margaritas at Bill's are quite strong. The Tequila is poured in the cup before they put the ice slush in. They use a branded Tequila too. Can't remember which one though.

great - thanks! We will check it out - I'd always thought all of the $1 margaritas were alike. :)

I was trying to figure out how to type the pronunciation but found this - you can actually hear it in addition to seeing it written. :)

    http://inogolo.com/pronunciation/d1135/Michelob

It is rather amazing to me that there is a website that includes the pronunciations of various beers from around the world.
