The thing is we've never had a free room offer from any MGM hotel...

so much for that idea then ! ...What about New Frontier, did you use his old place before it was torn down?

$20 all you can drink night in Gillys and get hubby to video you on the mechanical bull!

Last time we were coming out of Gillys 4 or 5 middle aged people were coming in (through th eout door) and the first (and only) comment I heard was "Goddam it, it's a no good goddam country bar". NSS!

I hope so. The best bill board on the strip used to be the New Frontier one "Cold beer and dirty girls".:rotfl:
I could post some pics of someone not too far away from me doing the bikini bull riding but I am getting dirty looks.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Less than 2 weeks till I am off to Vegas for the second time - very excited!!

Just wondered if anyone has some good shopping tips, i.e., where to pick up a bargain, what is everyone's favourite/ must go to shop while in Vegas?

Does anyone know of a good homeware / kitchen shop? I love kithenware & cooking gadgets but didnt see anywhere like this on my last trip, except what was in Macy's. We don't drive so we can only get to shops on the strip / not far in taxis etc.

Last question - we are staying in Mandalay Bay and have read that there is a Walmart nearby (to stock up on american candy essentials!), does anyone know if this is within walking distance or should we cab it?

    Loving the forum!!

    Thanks :)

I would recommend the Premium Outlets near Downtown. You can get there easily on the Ace Gold or Deuce for $7 for a 24 hour pass.

There were a couple of kitchen gadget shops, but I can't remember the names.

There is also the LV Outlets nearer you a couple of miles south of the strip, but I don't think the shops there are quite as good. Again easily accessible by bus.

    Hi guys
9 days left!!!!! Woohoo! And thankfully they've called off the strike!
    I cannae bloody wait!!!
Just a quick question I will need to call home once a day at least (leaving my gorgeous one year old baby with my parents so will be a neurotic mum calling all the time!!!) what's the best way to do this? Calling card and then use a payphone? I have read the first page etc and I'm sure there was another post but I can't find it! Where is the best place to buy a calling card? And which one to buy?
    Thanks guys

I can't post links but if you look on Smartervegas .com you'll see a code there for rates starting at $139, expires Dec 30 2010 ;)
