    the weekend finally!!!!!

just a quick question... i think its been answered before but i cant find it.

ID.. as im only going to be 21 when in vegas do i have to carry my Passport around with me or will uk driving licence do?? Dont really wanna carry my passport round, knowing me id loose it then be up a creek without a paddle!!!

Also anyone know how much of a deposit we will have to pay (staying at the flamingo) looked in our booking cant find anything, i have read on the internet and some people say its $100 a day and others $100 for the whole stay.

    Cheers

I took my sister for her 21st last year,
Something that I found out by asking around
essentially you take your passport to security and they will issue you with a wristband to say your over 21.
    well worth doing,

she did it in the hotels we stayed in (mgm, palazo and m-bay)
and ended up being on first name terms with security after doing it (she just chatty like that)
but didnt have to produce id at all where we were staying

    BUT

supprisingly she did get very little hastle for ID in most other places when she was wearing it,

I remember when i went to vegas at 21 having to show it everywhere I went, but this time with her we were asked for it very little, now im not sure if its that they were more relaxed this time around, or beacuse she was with me (obviously older), or i just wondered if it was because she was wearing another casinos wrist band?? but anyway she hardly had to produce id at all.

Only place which gave us problems were carnival court and that was cos my 33 year old pregnant girlfriend didnt have her ID!!! so wouldnt let her in but me and sister could as we had ours strangley that day.

When i was there 8 yrs ago I used my Driving lisence, was a bit hit and miss, sometimes worked sometimes didnt, but I just accepted if they didnt accept and went somewhere else, rather than taking my passport out with me every night (was there for 3 months so figured if i took it out every night i was bound to loose it eventually!)

Try Presidential as they are very good and provide a bottle of champagne and a rose for the ladies.

How do you go about this?

How much time do you give yourself?

What if the flight is delayed?

Sometimes it takes an age getting through immigration.

Google Presidential Limos for the website.

I read that they start the clock from when the flight lands and they monitor flights for delays.

It is the same price to go straight to the hotel as it is for an hour so I specified that I wanted the limo for an hour and asked for it 30 mins after the flight was due to land (we were on a connecting flight and cleared immigration before arriving in Vegas).

The driver was there at the specified time, but I don't know how long he had been waiting as it was 30 mins after landing by the time we got through the airport and picked up our bags.

We asked him to stop at a liquor store and also at the Welcome to Las Vegas sign. We went up the strip and arrived at out hotel 45 mins after being picked up.

Never understood these things. Almost everyone who goes there has them. Minced beef wrapped in a lettuce leaf, yuck!!
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

good timing, starting our hols there this time next week. In all the years we have never ever used Kahunaville so it sounds like now would be a good time to check it out.

Went to Kahunaville years ago when they were on restaurant.com One of the worst meals we have ever had. OH's chicken dish was reformed chicken, like the chicken roll you used to get.
