Today's a good day! BA have been in touch following us getting stuck in April, and a refund for our expenses is on route to my bank account. Between their refund and the travel insurance, we've just about managed a free week at the end of our honeymoon. Now I just need to work out if we can afford Vegas in Sept :D

I think it's always yes where Vegas is involved, OH will take more convincing though. Maybe we'll win the lottery tomorrow :rotfl:

Further to my questions a while ago? Does anybody know where I can book groups of 10+ to Vegas? or is it a case of getting a couple of laptops and booking at the same time to ensure minimum gap between prices? Still cant choose between Hotels, think ive narrowed it down to MGM, HRH & Luxor though.

As far as I know, availability of specific fares is tied to the number of seats available for those fares...so having multiple laptops won't matter...if there's one seat available at a reduced fare and you go to book 2 you'll either get one at the reduced rate and one at the next fare up, or both at the next fare up. As soon as the allocation of seats in the lower fare bucket available at that time are sold it goes to the next one. Duchy, penny or stoneman could probably confirm what would happen if 10 people tried to book at the same second and there were only 5 seats available at the cheapest price - but I would guess that 5 would get them and the other 5 would get 'that price is no longer available' errors or similar. And it would be pretty impossible to be sure everyone hit the site at the same second.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Now how did I know you would know all of that!!
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

    Mooky,
Just send a little complaint email to CS about your experience. We sent a feedback email about the CW+ on the way home and they gave us 20,000 BA miles!! Nothing ventured nothing gained and all that:D

I learned it from reading what you and duchy and penny have said about fare buckets, etc. of course. ;)

I know there are a couple of shops in Miracle Mile at Planetho, but don't think you will make much of a saving, what with the £/$ and of course if anything went wrong with them you have no where to go then.
