We connected at LAX with United in May and I can't remember any issues.

The reason I chose a LAX connection was so there would only be a short hop to get to Vegas. Don't really like transferring via an airport where there is then another 4 hours flight to get to LAS.

Don't know why that should be, but the 2 sets of exit seats are only available at check-in anyway. Best seats in the house IMHO (except for upper of course)
Unlike some others on here I do think that Premium economy on VS is worth the extra, but how much extra is a matter of opinion. I for one would pay the £250 each for the one way upgrade at the airport, but not the hundreds they charge at the time of booking. I would only fly VS now if it was in PE or Upper.
BTW Miami was freezing until the last day:mad:

Me thinks Luxor is believing their own hype. where does that place get off trying to charge a resort fee, it's laughable. The last time we went there even though the place has had a nice makeover, there was not one bar top VP machine at 25 cents, they were all $1. Every bar was empty of customers, I spoke to a bartender about the change in machines and he said everyone was furious about it, and he for one was leaving. No customers means no tips. No 25 cent VP means no Mr. and Mrs. Stoneman as well

I flew on the AA LHR LAX direct in early December.

The flight was late arriving and my connection was really tight. Immigration walked me right to the front of the line -Never had that so quickly and with such a positive manner about them at any other US airport (and the lines weren't even that long).

I thought it was better than Chicago -and I've always found Chicago pretty good.

Chicago however had my favourite TSA guy. Woman in fromt of me was obviously an infrequent flyer and had a load of large bottles in her hand luggage-shampoo conditioner , moisturizer , perfume etc. TSA guy made her take it all out -told her it would need to be thrown.......then looked over to check no-one was watching........and threw it all back in her bag bar one. Told her he had to make it look good and to choose one thing she could do without. Made a nice change from some of the jobsworths you see working on security at US airports.

He is dong well. 52 goals for Holt Hoolihan and Martin between them.

Spillane was playing at RB tore a hamstring in Oct and is only just back in training

I notice a few people were talking about Crown Currency Exchange a few pages back. I have ordered from them 3 or 4 times, and once also through their other company Travel Money Services. All good experiences, although the order through TMS I thought was through Crown but the girl on the phone had actually diverted the order to the other company for a better rate. I worried at first, but all turned out well. We even got dollars on time recently (well one day late) during the postal strike. We were a bit scared they might not come for days, although we'd left about 5 days before travel and all was absolutely fine.

I usually order a Monday delivery so that it comes when I'm home on a Saturday. Actually come to think on it, I think the postal strike one may just have came on the Monday rather than the Saturday, so that would have technically been on time. I know I had to pick it up at the post office.

Anyway, I've just ordered some more $ for May at $1.7699. I think that was a great rate. It's in their cancelled orders section.
