    Hello all :)

    QUESTION:
Can anyone recommend a particular type of SIM Card (preferably with credit on it) to buy in Vegas for use in a UK unlocked handset?

AND best (or easiest) place to buy it from in Vegas?
We will want to use them almost immediately on arrival.
(I DONT want to buy from Ebay before I go (not familiar to me and slightly wary of this type of purchase)

Me and my OH will make numerous calls to each other and to our friends out there at the same time during our two week trip in July and now that my "jolt/one roam" sims are useless, I am looking at alternatives! I had considered the "Triker" phones
**(THANKS TRIKER & FROGGITT, however, inability to top up in UK with UK credit card negates benefits of these) **

Can anyone help me - offer advice? Thanks.
    Steff;)

My solution was to buy a T-mobile SIM and top up with $100 to make sure it lasts a year. We spend two to three moths a year in the USA, so this was the easiest option for me. It would work out quite expensive for both of you to do it. The SIM I bought can't be used in the UK, and anything less than the $100 top up will need a call once per month to keep the SIM operational.

If the package price is £755, assuming there are 2 of you that's £1510.

Less flights on their own £485*2 = (£970)...leaving £540 left for the room.

    At 1.6 exchange rate that's $864

Looking only at the standard rate calendar for Caesars for your dates comes up with $880 for the lower-tier rooms.

So if you booked everything today one way or the other, it would cost you $16 more to do it separately...and closer to your dates you will likely find much better hotel prices...and if you book seperately you don't have to pay for the hotel in full now - just the first night...so you can look around. Your dates fall over Thanksgiving, which may mean they're slightly higher than normal, though looking at the Caesars rate calendar, it's not the case yet.

i will take as Gospel Froggits warnings about the Classic room . last trip we booked a Classic room @ Caesars and with a bit of charm ( thanks Mrs Trets) a bit of planning ( we arrived on a monday evening) and $20 we got upgraded to the Augustus Tower , which was divine  ( i would say it was almost as good for us as the Room we had the THE HOTEL , okay not as much space , no seperate bedroom , or waterfall bath , but balance out location and it was a fantastic upgrade )

so swings and roundabouts really . book package now and hope that you can bag that upgrade .

for the extra $16 i would book the flights and the room now then see what may come along between now and then . if nothing does your $16 down on what you would have spent anyway . but you never know what deal might come along for somewhere comparable. your $16 bet is probably the best you will make in Vegas IMO
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:
