October , NovemberHi guys
Been a lurker on this forum for a while now in the hopes of picking up some tips and deals prior to my trip to celebrate my 30th with the lads in November. We fly out on the 10th with Virgin and are looking to stay somewhere from the 10th - 14th on strip, then head out to the Canyon for a night at the Red Feather Lodge and then back to Vegas for two nights before flying home.
Although there are a lot of deals about at the moment - I'm struggling to find anything for the first part of the trip. As it falls over the weekend the prices are fine for the first two nights and then sky rocket completely! We were hopeful of staying somewhere half decent but I'm struggling. Is it because I'm trying to book too early or am I just not looking in the right places?! Ideally we'd like to be down in the NYNY, MGM et al area but can't find any good deals.
Any advice or guidance would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.0 -
MayWhat prices are you getting for which hotels and from which sites?
With a little bit more info you will get better advice.0 -

October , NovemberHey Luci
Apologies - for example, the MGM deal posted above is coming out at $511 odd for a 2 queen room for the 4 nights. At £180 each per person that seems a lot when I hear of other deals people are finding on here. We are planning on employing the $20 sandwich trick if possible to secure an upgrade wherever we go but that's still pretty steep. I suppose I was just looking for advice on where people are finding deals rather than asking people to check deals on my behalf.
Thanks.0 -
Its the weekend thats killing your prices......thanksgiving possibly? Try other deals/hotels.
One tip used successfully here before is do Vegas during the week and do Grand Canyon Fri and Sat, then back to Vegas.illegitimi non carborundum0 -
Also, November is still a long way off for deals.....maybe wait till Aug/Sept?illegitimi non carborundum0

First of all thanks to everyone for this brilliant thread!!
Have a day on my own in Vegas before my friend arrives and wondered if anyone had any tips for fun things to do on your own? On a very tight budget!
Thanks! x0 -
