Just checked-out the Go Get Wet offer at Flamingo (not interested in Donny and Marie!)

7 night for $1125 - seems excellent and the room looks great

Do you know if the Go with a View rooms are worth the extra?

that seems a lot to me

Have you checked the friends and family rate (google harrahs friends and family)

I like the Go rooms (especially with a view of the fountains) but I have always booked a deluxe room and got a go view upgrade at check in (usually $25 a night).

I been thinking though and with 4 adults almost in the room it may be worth looking at the MGM twitter deals that Luci posts as there are often Bungalow queen suites available for $60/$70 a night which would give you loads more space

Although we haven't used an ATM this trip yet, last time we did Casino Royale was still the cheapest at $1. I can't remember what Walgreens and CVS were, but I think it was about $3.

    .

I though both Casino royale and Walmart were $1.5 last year but my memory isnt what it was.

    Hi All,

Me and my boyfriend are looking to go to Vegas next year. We would have to fly from London which isnt a problem for us.
When is the best time to go? I wouldnt mind a bit of sun!!
    Also, which hotels are recommended?
We want to see the Grand Canyon also, so are the tours worth it?
Also, is it true that whilst in the casino's your drinks are free?!
Almost forgot, is it easier (& cheaper) to book hotel and flight seperatly or go for a package deal? and any recs for companies etc?

    Any advice greatfully recieved.

    Thanks in advance

When is the best time to go? I wouldnt mind a bit of sun!! Any of the summer months-mid summer is REALLY hot -too hot for some
Also, which hotels are recommended? Depends what you want-nightlife? Great Pool ? Luxury ? Good Value rather than luxury? The links on page 1 will help you narrow down your choices-Once you've done that we can help with more specific info
We want to see the Grand Canyon also, so are the tours worth it? Yes but see page 1
Also, is it true that whilst in the casino's your drinks are free?! When you are gambling -the cocktail waitresses will bring you complimentry drinks-You tip the waitress at least $1 per drink so almost free
Almost forgot, is it easier (& cheaper) to book hotel and flight seperatly or go for a package deal? and any recs for companies etc? See page 1 -Generally it's cheaper (although obviously not easier but still pretty easy) to book seperately

Any advice greatfully recieved. Read page 1 :rotfl::rotfl:
Seriously there's a wealth of info there that will help you narrow it down a bit-at the moment it's all a bit too general to give useful advice :)
    Thanks in advance

I'm almost scared to let my excitement continue to rise as it is.
Flight is in 4 weeks, and all that is at the back of my mind is that bloody volcano

    Should be ok. I hope!

We have booked our Grand Canyon trip with http://grand-adventures.com/ , as a tour with a smaller group appealed to us more, the helicopter tours were a bit out of our budget and their ranking & ratings on TA are outstanding http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g45963-d663940-Reviews-Grand_Adventures-Las_Vegas_Nevada.html

Thanks Duchy, am off to check out Page 1. :)

Hotel wise, we arent looking for anything spectacular, but not dingy either, just a comfortable base to explore etc etc.

In that case Kay I'd concentrate on location for a first time visit-stick with midstrip so say you wanted a great pool and a central location Flamingo might tick all the boxes whereas Mandelay Bay although it has a fantastic pool isn't so central so for a first visit might not be as suitable (even though it's a very nice hotel)

Thanks Duchy,we ideally would like to stay on the strip, as it's going to be our first time there.
Have checked flights out and they are cominm in at £596 each with BA. Seems a little expensive, but its for 10 nights in March/April next year.
We would prefer non-stop flights as some that i have looked at connect in Newark/Toronto.
    Budget is around 700 each

    Thanks again.
