welcome home, mooky! Looking forward to the trip report once you get settled. :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

    Hi Luci

Sounds like you're only a few days away from your next trip! Hope you have a great time! We're off to Tunisia for a week soon (just under 2 weeks to go!), looking forward to some sun, then we'll think more about Vegas.

Love your planner, sounds good, but not too-overplanned. You still have some choices to make (and of course you can change things if you want anyway if you feel like it!).

Have a fab time, and I'm sure you'll let us know how it goes!

Thanks Lesley. I'm more organised than usual as I've even sorted out all my paperwork. It's incredible how much you accumulate between hotel confirmations, flight details, shopping and dining coupons and show confirmations.

Have you booked anything for your other nights yet? If it was me I would book one of the MGM offers before they expire on Friday as a back up and keep looking.

I wouldn't worry too much about not having a confirmation as I've never needed to show one yet and we go to 6-7 shows per trip. All they ask for his your photo ID and the credit card used for booking. Don't know if TM is different.

I would call the Mirage box office and they should be able to tell you if they have tickets held for you.

That makes me feel a bit better, I always worry if i don't get a confirmation, will take your advice and call the box office just to be sure

An offer... hmmm, do I go for it? That additional $50 is not for the stay (as I first thought), but per night. Is it worth the extra $250 during my stay, I wonder, to go for the corner suite?

BTW: at the moment this offer extends past the 9th Sept,I plugged our dates in (7-12) and got the same prices.

Yes, seems like if you check in by the 9th you'll get $109 rate for the following nights, even though they show separately as $179 etc.

We can't check in that early, at Desert Rose until 13th, so just to far apart for us (one night overlap might have been worthwhile, but not 4).

I know what you mean about paperwork. There were 6 of us last year, you can imagine, as I had extra sets of coupons for everything too!! I usually get those little plastic A5 folders (slightly smaller ones for Europe minimal planning holidays), for Vegas it's one for documents hotels, car hire, insurance, passports, esta printout, etc. Then another with coupons. I will need to be extra organised this year as we will be moving right before (get keys a month before, but not moving in for about 2 weeks at least).

Our final hotel, we've still not booked. Got a 'lowest rates possible' offer from Excalibur this morning and thought about that until I realised it was higher rates than any other offer I've seen recently! Not sure about MGM. One reason is our plan so far - Orleans (shuttle to Bill's), Desert Rose (south strip), I feel I want the next 5 to be North Strip. I do like having a fridge though so Celeb Spa at MGM would swing it for me. So would a good rate at Platinum. Or a buffet everyday deal at MGM (ok thinking of my stomach again). I'm edging towards trying Mirage, or maybe even Wynn or Encore. I saw Wynn and Encore under $150 average last night, so thinking about that. Think we might have our house sold, which does also improve our budget if the sale price is good (might be having a closing date which is bizarre in current climate).

I assume you're going very soon, think there was mention of 4 or 5 days to go, you have a fabulous time! Good to hear you're meeting Pebbles too. We met Rhonda in 2008, not sure if you know her from LVTalk - she was really nice and she knows Pebbles (possibly you as well).
