I just happened to re-read what I posted, and think the date is actually the wrong way round i.e. in the American format, so 10/05/2010 should be read as 5 October rather than 10 May.

Groupon is a US website, and a deal that I purchased recently for a boat trip in San Francisco stated "Expires 10/24/2010" which would make no sense the other way round. Sorry for any confusion, I should have thought of that before I posted and edited the details. On the plus side though gracie10, maybe you can now buy a Groupon for your anniversary dinner? :j
Thats great will def be getting one now thanks :j

    Hi all,

Looking for some tips and advice if possible.

Been to Vegas a few times and never really looked how to do it on the cheap but am looking at planning a stag do there for around Mar/Apr/May 2011 and want to get on to this early to ensure I get the best deal for everybody.

All leaving from Leeds so Manchester is probably best airport for it and would be looking to stay on the strip centrally so maybe Flamingo would be one of the cheaper ones.

    15-20 people going.

Are the flights cheaper if you book as soon as they are released? If so does anyone know when they are released?

Any airports locally that offer cheaper airlines etc?

Is March cheaper than May etc?

Where do you think the best place to book is?

Any benefit from a group booking?

Id like to be able to say to everybody if you are coming it will be XXX pounds so get saving!

Any tips and general advice would be greatly appreciated...

Hi and welcome to the thread!

Scheduled flights are released 330 days ahead so May 2010 for April 2011, etc.

Thomas Cook go non-stop from Manchester, but I'm not sure if it's all year round so you would need to check their website.

I would opt for May if you can. March Madness and Spring Break are March-April and room rates are usually high during that time. Also check the convention calendar as the NAB convention is usually mid to end of April with over 100,000 attendees although it's only 85,000 this year.

Flamingo would be fine, but if anyone is on a really tight budget then the Imperial Palace might be OK for a stag do.

Which hotels have you stayed at on previous visits?

Just thought I'd check in and say hi. We're day 4 into our trip and moving tomorrow from Bellagio to Encore. Just bought some tickets for Jersey Boys from ticketmaster. Noticed ferf's here too - might run into you. Hope you like Paris. Might see you in Bally's later - we'll be at the texas hold em poker table game - lol

Well done on your win last night - hoping for luck for both of us. I've not started well :rotfl:

Thanks for that, stopped at Caesars and Bellagio before but really not bothered about luxury.

Just out of interest what time of year is Spring Break?

As I said earlier, Spring Break is March-April. The dates vary from state to state, but it is over a period of about 6 weeks.

For anyone going soon, remember to order your 24/7 Magazine about 3 weeks before you go.

I think generically its late March / early April although it seems to vary a bit by area, school etc. I'm not sure whether Easter has any bearing, but that's late next year - 24th April.

The Coupons you get with the free issue, how long are they usually valid for?

They coupons are usually valid for the month the magazine was printed. It comes out on the 1st of the month.

We are going on 30 April and I have just ordered my copy. However it is as much for the info the magazine provides as for the coupons. We will pick up the May issue either from the back of a taxi or from the guy handing them out near PH.
