Yeah kind of because I live in Newcastle and only airlines that flies to LHR is BA and only airline that flies to LGW is FlyBe.

I've looked at KLM but it goes from NCL to AMS then to another US airport before going to LAS - I would loose a day of my holiday almost :(

I've considered going with Virgin from LGW > LAS then back LAS > LHR then getting a BA flight and FlyeBe flight back to Newcastle - but my worry is what if flybe flight gets cancelled or delayed etc

Just pray BA have another sale soon lol
I am confused, why fly out of gatwick and back to Hrow, why not get a return with flybe Newcastle to LGW and use Virgin..not that I recomend them cause that flight is the pits but surely that is an option

As for the KLM route I did that last year from Norwich via Amsterdam but i did then do non stop to LAX and drove to vegas a couple of days later.
I dont really think you would lose a day tho maybe a couple of hours and if the connection in AMS is better than the London connection it may not make much difference at all.
  • Virgin don't do that flight back to the same airport

The KLM flight doesn't go direct from AMS from NCL - I've checked

    This is strange I rang BA for a price for the following route;

    NCL > LHR > LAX - 18th Sep
    LAS > LHR > NCL - 28th Sep

Over the phone is £1172 but online it is £1321!

Very strange - I asked the sales person for the times of the flights and I chose the excact same times online....................

Is this normal for BA? and do I book overphone or wait for BA sale when ever the next one will be
Total price for 2 tickets I assume?

I am even more confused now.

You want LGW to LAS and back which Virgin do what makes you think they dont?

I just checked on Kayak and got a £489 return from NCL leaving at 0605 via AMS and POrtland arriving LAS at 1530 that looked good to me. That was leaving on 18th Sep, I did post a link but it didnt work

There isnt a direct flight from AMS to LAS , I went to LAX

    EDIT

I see from your OP you want go to LAX and then back from LAS but your subsequent posts read to and from LAS, not sure what you want now.

Ok got it now. essentially you have two choices:
    • Fly with either BA/VS with 1 stop price around £680 and flight duration around 13hrs
    • Fly with KLM/DL via AMS with 2 stops price around £490 and flight duration around 17hrs
    :)

And all booked on the same ticket so no issue with missing connecting flights at the beginning/end booked separately and potentially being screwed. :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Glad you got it, I am still not sure wether Craig wants to fly to LAX or LAS which of course does make a difference as like he says he cant retuen to the sane airport with Virgin
