Thanks - have had a look through their website and the Las Vegas Advisor one this morning and think we will probably get one or the other. As you say, I reckon from the list of vouchers that we could easily get our money back from just a few offers.

Weird as I had checked this morning and couldn't see the Strat voucher on the list of the ACG so didn't mention it...but can see it now...for some the LVA works out better value, for others the ACG works out better value. Last year we did a comparison between the vouchers we were 100% certain we would use and with the higher price even LVA worked out better for us, but others will be different. There are a lot of vouchers that are in both you'll see. The big potential benefit of the LVA (which we have never used) is the 50% off up to $50 voucher for the Palms.

ferf, do you know if the 50% off at Palms would be valid to use at Alize restaurant?

Luci - it doesn't look like it, the T&C's on the LVA website state the following:

Must be a Club Palms member and present club card with voucher. Voucher may be used for a 50% discount (up to a maximum discount of $50). Valid for the following: charges in bars, hotel-room bill, charges in Palms Spa, admission to Rain or Ghost Bar, or charges in the following restaurants: Garduño’s, Blue Agave, Bistro Buffet, or 24/7 Cafe (not valid for food in restaurants not listed here, or in the food court). One-time use only. Limit one voucher per person per year. Voucher must be surrendered upon use. Must be 21 years or older to redeem. Not valid in conjunction with any other offer. Voucher is non transferable and not redeemable for cash. Offer may be changed or discontinued at any time at the discretion of management. Management reserves all rights. No cash value. Valid Sun–Thurs only, no holidays. Settle to: 86-007. Offer expires December 30, 2010.

Many thanks for that. I didn't think it would, but was still worth checking. ;)

yeah, it's pretty limited which is why we've never used it. I almost used it for a massage last trip but then they had a good offer at Bally's that made the price comparable to the Palms after the voucher.

Thanks to Luci's cupcake groupon find which I took advantage of, got this from them today:

1/2 price ($42) SUV tour of Hoover Dam (among other things)
Sounds far more civilzed to me than a coach tour.

From the cushy comfort of a Cadillac Escalade or Dodge Durango, desert-dwellers can discover the history of Las Vegas through a fully narrated tour. During your five-hour excursion, you will visit Boulder City and make stops at the Nevada Southern Railway Train Museum and the Boulder Dam Hotel Museum before walking through the man-made hinterland that is the Hoover Dam. You'll come away with brand-new brain knowledge about U.S. history, including the fact that the dam was not built to distribute hydroelectric power to parts of Nevada, California, and Arizona, but for stonewashing jeans.

  • This is strange I rang BA for a price for the following route;

    NCL > LHR > LAX - 18th Sep
    LAS > LHR > NCL - 28th Sep

Over the phone is £1172 but online it is £1321!

Very strange - I asked the sales person for the times of the flights and I chose the excact same times online....................

Is this normal for BA? and do I book overphone or wait for BA sale when ever the next one will be

are you tied to BA for some reason? Is it because you want direct flights from London? You could get flights from any number of airlines for about £430 each from London (with 1 stop). I know it still means getting to London, and it would mean a stop enroute. But if price is the key element it may be worth considering.

  • Yeah kind of because I live in Newcastle and only airlines that flies to LHR is BA and only airline that flies to LGW is FlyBe.

I've looked at KLM but it goes from NCL to AMS then to another US airport before going to LAS - I would loose a day of my holiday almost :(

I've considered going with Virgin from LGW > LAS then back LAS > LHR then getting a BA flight and FlyeBe flight back to Newcastle - but my worry is what if flybe flight gets cancelled or delayed etc

Just pray BA have another sale soon lol
